I remember Ariza yelling at Brooks. I can't remember which game.

I remember them fast breaking and clearly refusing to pass to each other.

Oh.....if this is the case then it explains the move.

Brooks is more important to the franchise than Ariza will ever be

It could just mean that the oncourt chemistry wasn't all there. I haven't heard that there were personal issues between them.

Get in a feud with your starting point guard. Smart.

Some 'insider' on a realgm forum said there was a fight in the locker room involving ariza and another 'key player' which worried staff.. and that he's known to be a loose cannon, which is why LA was in no hurry to retain him and why we've apparently been shopping him for the past couple months. Makes sense, who knows what goes down behind the scenes in the shadows..

People have been complaining about Ariza's body languages for months, especially around the trade deadline. He didn't always seem to care that much. Maybe that was also part of it.

If true, it makes the trade all that more favorable to the Rockets.

Wow, first time I'm hearing this. I thought Ariza was the quiet keep-it-cool kinda guy (with the exception of that missed elbow punch).

Oh wells, he's no longer any of our worries.

Come on DD... I think you're taking the Ariza thing too personal. I'm not defending Ariza. I thought he was probably the biggest bonehead out there but Morey was very very high on this guy. Did he overpay for Ariza at the time? Sure he did but that tends to happen when you're a FA like he was at the time. Not to mention, you had several teams that were after Ariza after the championship.

I try to look at the Ariza signing as a bandaid. Houston was in trouble last summer and Morey needed to pick up someone. Overall, Ariza drove us all crazy but he did help us win enough games last year to remain respectable.

It was noticeable that AB and Ariza had their issues. Morey made the right move.

I look at things from a chemistry standpoint, and you could tell by body language that there was something between Brooks and Ariza....

Ariza would constantly want the ball and Brooks would look him off, and go where he wanted to.

Actually that was smart of Brooks, he basically limited Ariza's shots after they discovered how bad he was at it early in the year, and Ariza got more effective.

Meanwhile Brooks had no problem passing to anyone else....

The difference was Ariza would constantly throw mini hissy fits when he did not get the ball, like he thought he was supposed to lead the team....lol....

Brooks was just being passive aggressive, it is his team now....he is the leader, and Ariza never understood the pecking order.

    Good riddance.
