well,Im a Shanghaier who is living in China

I was totally shocked and so were the ppl here who love Yao

to Rockets and Olympics this is the worst news

But we Chinese pay more attention to Yao's health condition than to the Olympics or the ring

Anyway, this is a disaster, the only thing we can do is to send our best wishes to Yao.

I hope TMAC can take it on , but what a pitty , in my personal view Houston's another bright season is in danger.

No one is cursing Yi, as the doctor in the press conference said the hairline fracture was caused by stress and over-training, and not by a single incident. And Yi did not step on Yao's left ankle but on his right.

I'm from China. I don't care about the Olympics as much as I care about the Rockets. Olympics is important, but not the basketball part. Team China of basketball is going nowhere, with or without Yao. The best they can do might be ending up 6th. The fact is as simple as this: Chinese B-ball team sucks!(except for Yao)
As far as I know, most Chinese fans around think the same way as I do.
We enjoy the Rockets games more, much more. Cos we believe the Rockets really has the chance of getting the NBA championship. And the way the Rockets fight for it is just beautiful. But now, the GAME is OVER! We are doomed, at least for this season. I want to be optimistic. But I can't. It's just sad, dark. Now I'm afraid this feeling might last for weeks.

Some people cursed Yi before the detail was revealed. You should know, a lot of Chinese fans stayed up late in the night, waiting for the news on Barry's determination. But what they got is this!

Hi Guys, I'm a Chinese fans, I was despondently about Yao's foot.
Frankly speaking, I hope Rocket win this season than China win the Olympic games :(

Chinese never give up!Even if only then a hope!

Excuse me. My English is not good, can somebody be able to sent below message for Yao.Tks a lot. Good Luck rockets Good Luck Yao!

Yi JianLian better start chucking up shots in milwaukee and start learning fast, seeing how he's probably option #1 now in the summer.
