WTF is Francis doing? 3/17 ??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe it! Should he ever make 2 more shot, we would have won (get 4 points at least and then reduced Kings a fast break). Simply pass the ball to any other player who had better FGM and the damn Franchise would have even more assists.

What's happened is that all of a sudden the rockets won these games and started to challenge, so now teams get up for the Rockets.

Before, the Rockets were just a team, now they are becoming a measuring stick, and that means weaknesses will be exposed and people are attacking Yao and Francis a lot more.

Francis had some pretty assists, and 13 isn't a number to shy away from. Maybe Steve has panicked, but so what? It's about time he gets put into pressure situations. I'm happy to see him get frustrated and lose his composure - which he hasn't done in the past, because it finally means he actually cares.

    To Mr. Steve Francis

    Dear Steve,

You know, its kinda funny to me. Jim Jackson and Mark Jackson have been two of the NBA's solid players throughout their NBA career. They started off with the same atheleticisim that many of the players, i.e you MR. Steve Francis. They made something into themselves. M.Jack can still pass the ball, and he obviosuly has been able to do that well throughout his career. J.J was hamperd by an injury that pretty much set his "flashy" career back, but all in all, that dude can play some ball and he is very atheletic. My question is, HOW IN THE HELL can someone like you Steve Francis not turn out like that. You have so much potential to be sooooo good. I am not sure whats going through your head, maybe its Van Gundy, maybe its Yao, maybe it is the PG position that you are not made for, but why can you not learn from people like the two J's. You played with the Dream as well, did you not see how amazing he was, and how he played the game. Did some of his greatness not rub off on you? I have a feeling it is because you are too young and stubborn and feels that the team was taken from your belt. But all in all, COME ON STEVE, I have been defending you from the very beginning, and I have sat here on the BBS for some time and watched people bash you, but you are so much better than that. I hope you read this, maybe by some chance you actually go home to your expensive house and hop on the internet and read these posts from the fans. For God's sake, you were voted the favorite athelete of the city of Houston accodring to the Chronicle, that will slowly diminish if you continue to slump, and Yao, JJ, and Taylor continue to take over the team. Take some tips from those Vets. Sit down with Ewing, Wetherspoon, the Double J's, and maybe give Stockton a call, or hell, TALK TO FREAKIN' CALVIN. Clear your head buddy, you could be just like them, or possibly EVEN BETTER. Ok, I think I am done with this rant now, college is beckoning me to study, but I just hope that SF3, the big 2nd pick, gets his butt together, and takes over the game like we have seen him do before.

    PEACE

man oh man....he is just not shooting well...sometimes in life this happens and we all have to praey he improves because the rockets will not make it without him hitting 42-44%.......if he shoots 41% or lower, no playoffs is my take....

his assists have improved...turnovers are hurting, but his shot is really killing us...even with 24 turnovers, we were still able to hang in there because we outrebounded them by 20....imagine if he could just hit 41% or better......

lets all pray it improves fast...he is not being traded and we are in it with him....lets shoot some positive vibe at him because you think he enjoys being punked on national tv......

I'm serious when I say this, my suggestion is let Franchise take a few weeks off. Something is wrong with him, hes not going to get his shot back overnight. A player like him dosent get this bad this quick. I dont think I have ever seen anything like this. Something has to be wrong whether its a personal issue or health issue its going to take time to get better. So I'd give him the time to do so.

I'd compare it to bringing down a player to the minors, when a player struggles, you bring him down and alot of the time he comes back better than ever.

So make a phoney injury up let him take a few weeks off to clear up whatever issue hes having. I know hes better than this there has to be something wrong with his mental or physical state.

I cannot believe how badly Steve Francis has been playing mostly all year. Is there something wrong with him? He is horrible in every facet of his game it seems, TOs, shooting FG/FT, passing, decisionmaking, defense, etc. How does a player with huge talent degrade this quickly and this thoroughly? I don't understand.

    Go Rockets!

His game went down the drain as soon as the zone defense was implemented. I think this is really the 1st year that teams have started to effectively use the zone defense to control the paint. Jump shooters rule now as seen by teams like the Kings and Mavericks. If Steve doesn't get a jump shot, the Rockets should trade him quickly before he becomes a major payroll albatross.

Steve is struggling terribly..and you can't blame it on Yao or JVG..or even Cat. Cat hasn't been shooting the lights out lately but he and JJ have to ALWAYS D up the best players on every team in this league..which is pretty tough. That game last night was pretty painful to watch.

Bottomline: Steve has been in this league too long, making too much money and has been invited to too many All-Star games to be jacking up WIDE OPEN BRICKS like that??!! He is considered a veteran and he still is wayyyy too turnover prone. If your shot is off, go to the basket and spare us and yourself with the ESPN driven, spastic, way-too-difficult layup. Calvin Murphy has benn crying on practically EVERY SINGLE GAME for Steve to develop that little five to 8 foot jumper for YEARS!! YEARS!! Who could stop him if he developed that? Who? NOBODY.

I'm sorry--but I think was starting to believe his press clippings. Even though you got the max contract and the All-Star bids..he's severely lacking in fundamentals. He's been practically begging to be on some sort of National Team for YEARS--and has been turned down every time. STEVE, YOU NEED TO WORK ON YOUR FUNDAMENTALS--AND KILL THE ESPN STUFF!

btw..IF YOU BEEN IN A COLOSSAL SLUMP--WHY WOULD YOU KEEP JACKING UP 18 FOOT JUMPERS????? DAYUM, STEVE!!!

Dont forget he and cat still took the most shot (17 and 18). Unselfish? I don't think so. He got 13 assists was mainly because the rest of the team shot the ball really really well (28/45) so why not keep this way? Why taking so many bonehead shot while your teammates were on fire?

I think Steve is probably as good as he'll ever be. I will admit that his assist have gone up. He can't get his points in the flow of the game. He has starts to force things, and then he really starts to take bad shots and making bad passes. He should pay attention to how M. Bibby plays. Nothing fancy, just sound fundamental ball. JJ probably needs to run more PG.

Do you think we had traded one his buddy, Moohie has impacted him so much that he is suffering serious emotional distress. I hope he doesn't turn out the way Eddie was.
