What's the oldest age at which you've been carded?

On opening night at the Drafthouse, they were taking your picture before you went into the movie and when it was over, they had them ready for you. It's a hit at the bars.

I got carded to see Good Luck Chuck last week. Carded for an R movie. pretty legit

 

I get carded every now and then by places that card everybody, but a couple years ago (at age 33) I went to grab some cigs at a convenience store in Memphis. I had lost my license, so I showed her my passport.

She said it had expired. I explained to her that passports never expire for ID purposes, and that the expiration meant I had to renew it to leave the country.

She refused to sell me cigarettes. Had to be the stupidest clerk I'd ever seen. I went to the bar next door and got some.

 

1) Do you always carry your passport when you travel to Memphis?
2) Or were you carrying it specifically because you lost your license?
3) And if so, did you drive to Memphis with no license?
4) If you got pulled over by a cop, were you going to say something like, "Hello officer. I couldn't find my license, but here's my passport" ?

 

I'm 24 and I get carded most of the times

 

Had my temp permit with me, but brought the passport as a photo ID.

 

I got carded this past August at a WalMart in Bemidji, Mn. I was buying a couple of cases of beer for a fishing vacation. I'm a 50 year old, gray haired father of 5 teenagers. I had three of my daughters in line with me. I told the kid at the register I had gray hairs that were over 21. He wasn't amused.

 

I'm 32 and I still get carded on occasion. Though, I've been in bars since 17 and had the TABC walk right past me on many occasions...

 

I'm 24 (almost 25) and I still get carded.
Funny story is that my mom got carded at a casino 4 years back. She was around 43 at the time. When they saw her I.D., the guy had a very surprised look on his face.

Even when I was little, around 7 or 8, people would mistake her for my older sister.

 

I'm 30 and I get carded most of the time. I have a serious baby-face...

Of course, I'm a bartender and I card lots of folks who are over 21. Our policy is to card anyone who looks younger than 40...

 

People over 16 went to see this movie?

 

I'm 30 and seriously bald.... and I get carded. WTF???

 

I live out of state where they must not see a lot of Texas DLs. I get carded cause I'm young but it's becoming an ordeal. Last bar the bartender handed it to another bartender for a second opinion who took it to the manager for a third opinion. The manager put it under a black light and said "it's good." Thank you very ****ing much.

 

Another policy of ours is that if we get an out of state ID we have to give it to a manager who compares it against a pic in an book of state IDs.

I usually break that policy, unless the ID doesn't look/feel right...

 

I get carded and I'm 29.

Hey, I even got carded at Walmart for buying freaking lysol toilet bowl cleaner.

 

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm 22 and get carded almost all of the time. I've had my ID for a while (the print/picture is going up and down as opposed to left and right) and it's bent a little and has a small crack in one corner. Every time I show it at bars or anywhere people want to finger **** it and see if it's legit or not. Went gambling a couple of weeks ago on the Mississippi River and the person working the door was convinced my ID was fake. I plan on getting a new one soon so I don't have to deal with the hassle.

 

I'm 27 and it happens to me very rarely now. my Girlfriend is 29 and it happens to her all the time!

 

I got carded for a lottery ticket at 29.

I got carded for alcohol at 30.

I got carded for a pack of cigarettes at 34.

Geez...do I really look like I am 17?
