    I was eating a box of captain crunch cereal. NO, not a bowl a box. Then I tried to say Rockets but all I could manage to say was 'rocks' or 'rox'

    I have never disclosed this type of information before in any similar kind of thread, but here goes:

    i lived in East Harlem at the time of joining the board and I was watching Jackie Brown, still one of my favorite Tarantino films, featuring the opening song by Bobby Womack. I walked across Central Park North every day to catch the subway and it seemed appropriate.

    I took this guys nickname. I'm a big Cannonball Adderley fan and my senior recital in college was a tribute to him. He got the name because a childhood friend wanted to call him a "cannibal" because he was fat and mispronounced it as "cannonball". The name stuck.

    love his work on Kind of Blue and his hit Mercy Mercy Mercy (written by Joe Zawinul for him).

    also, anything he did with his brother Nat- Them Dirty Blues (featuring Work Song and Jive Samba) is one of my favorite albums of all time.

    check out his great niece's Austin based band when they are in Houston next. they feature a giant horn section.
