What's the lamest thing you've done to impress a girl?

In my increasingly old age I can recall a few times I did some regrettable things to try to impress a girl. Yet because of my old age (and rampant alcohol abuse) those things escape me at this very exact moment. So in hindsight, what have you done to try to impress a girl that may have worked but makes you cringe that you actually did it?

I can't think of anything. I'm sure there has to be something. Or maybe this explains why I am single lol.

    Lol guilty as well.

I vaguely remember actually writing poetry for a girl in high school.

I am currently organizing a Harry Potter-themed birthday party for a girl that I am not dating but have been best friends with for several years. Complete with Platform 9 3/4 (three-yard fabric that I painted to look like a wall), Hogwarts model, all sorts of treats, drinks and potions from the series, green sand (floo powder), "floating candles", activities (tasks) stemming from the 4th book, wand-making station, and will play a HP-themed song.

And I think that it's awesome.

Although most of you might think that a grown man doing all of this for a woman he loves is lame ha

Damn. Friend zoned like a mofo. We can all laugh in retrospect (like the rest of this thread)

Similar to OP my latter exploits are mostly a haze.

But I do recall polishing off a pack of cigs w a girl at a bar who I had been crushing on from the moment I met her, AND she had just recently reentered the market that week for the first time since I met her. All of this just to keep her engaged in conversation.

Well I had only smoked as many cigarettes as I could count on one hand up until that point and hit each and every last one like a big blunt....suffice to say a messy end result. And not even a booby squeeze for m'troubles

this is the saddest thing i've heard in ages. not the party, mind you, but the fact that you're doing this to win over a girl who friend zoned you.

hopefully i'm wrong and she polishes your wand. good luck
