What's the Funniest Episode of a Sitcom That You've Ever Seen

Just about any episode of Fawlty Towers...

 

That's a great episode --

"What if he asks me out on a date?"
"I have news for you -- you're ON a date!"

I can't really say the funniest episode of any show at all. My favorite episode of any TV is "Something borrowed, Someone blue", the episode where Niles and Daphne get together before Daphne's wedding to Donnie. But while it was certainly plenty funny, it's not the funniest I've ever seen.

I've got to go with:

Frasier - "The Two Hundredth" -- Frasier does his 2000th show, and realizes he's missing one tape out of his collection of all his shows. Desperately searching for it, he comes upon a man who is obsessed with Frasier and his show.

Family Guy - "The King is Dead" -- When Lois becomes artistic director of the local theater troupe and decides to put up "The King and I," Peter takes over the show and makes a mockery of it, setting in in the future with robots and partial nudity.

Simpsons - The episode where they go to Japan. PURE BRILLIANCE!!

 

OMG, I can't believe I forgot Fawlty Towers!! That is one of the funniest shows ever!!

But an even funnier show (at least for the first two seasons) -- Chef! The Episode where Everton loses his bandaid in the food is one of the funniest things ever!!

 

Ah, I forgot Family Guy. The episode where they move into the mansion ("Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater") is freaking hilarious.

Stewie: "Cut my milk!"
Servant #2: "I can't sir. It's liquid."
Stewie : "Imbecile! Freeze it, then cut it! If you question me again, I'll put you on diaper detail, and I'll promise you I won't make it easy for you."
...
Stewie: "You! Bring me the Wall Street Journal! You two... fight to the death!"
