90........I dont understand why some people feel its cool to get from piont A to point B........Im getting old man......
Actually, that is almost also true for my old Golf that I am still driving. It can only go about 115 miles or so, which is really annoying.
It's a toll road in Houston (I think in the North/Northwest). For some reason, it's like "I paid, so now I can drive as fast as I want!!" I drove really fast on that road, too. Police seems to be much more lenient on that road when enforcing speeding violations, for some reason. I think the speed limit is like 10 miles per hour higher there, but people drive much faster. At least that's the way it used to be.
180+ on the speedo- on a closed runway at Cecil Field, FL with my 928 and nothing for me to hit. The scariest thing is that the car felt no different at 180+ than 80.
Every day, I drive 55 mph down the left lane of the SW Freeway headed outbound during the afternoon rush hour.
Damnit.........Cant edit Codell.....what I meant was I couldnt understand why some people have to drive so damn fast to get from point a to point b But that was funny
From Cypress to Round Rock. My mustang just cruises in the left lane the whole time, weaving through traffic when necessary. The only slow point is Giddings and sometimes Elgin, with all the stop lights. Other than that, its 120+ on cruise control.
I go (and will be going later today) from Riverside to Cypress in an hour and 45 minutes most of the time. It also helps that I take a bunch of backroads, so I don't have to hit all 8000 lights going out of Austin - just the ones in the podunk towns.
140 in a prowler while in beaumont. not a smooth ride at all. bad "suspension"... if that's what you call it. know nothing mechanically about cars.
Geez...you guys are some speed demons. The fastest I've ever gone is 100 in my Accord. Felt awesome, but I was really just testing my car out...no rattles or anything...good to know. I've ridden in a Mercedes SL going about 135-140. It has since become my dream car.
