I said Yao was not going anywhere.
I said Yao would get a max contract in Houston.

Sorry but, I'd still do it. Even if we don't play him, Baron Davis is gonna get us more in a trade than Mo and Spoon added together. Yeah the 3 1st rounders are tough to swallow, but I don't think it's too tough to get 3 1st rounders with Davis.

felt that a core of SF3/Cat and eddie would lead the rockets back to the WCF

I argued the point and was not able to see that there would be an NBA coaching vacancy available for Rudy T and his ISO-oriented offense. Rudy getting hired by LA was a real shocker for me.

I was so excited when we stole Eddie Griffin.
I was so pissed when we traded Jim Jackson.
I was so glad to get Mo Taylor, though I think Mo's injury sort of ruined his career.
I was so glad to get Shandon Anderson.
I thought it was a mistake to trade Thorpe for Clyde as it would hurt our rebounding.

Though not crazy at all, I thought we were pretty much guaranteed a championship when Charles Barkley was brought on board.

I desperately want Chris Webber that summer we had the room. Good thing that didn't work out. Then again, we did end up squandering that same money away on Maurice Taylor and Moochie Norris...

I also thought Steve was the far superior player over Cuttino.

I thought Terrence Morris was the steal of the draft and the prototypical small forward we had been craving.

I thought Carl Herrera would step in as our starting power forward for years to come after we dealt Thorpe.

I thought Shandon Anderson was going to be a cheap Scottie Pippen with heart.

I thought, as did the rest of Houston, that Robert Horry was the next Scottie Pippen, in '96.

I thought Roderick Rhodes was going to be this great swingman after he dropped 20+ on MJ and ripped him twice.

I almost cried when Portland got Damon Stoudamire.

was really unsure about how Mutumbo and Ward could help us

was fairly sure Cuttino was better than Shandon

thought Kenny was much better than Mo and Eggie

and wasn't sure about Steve's defense in his first year
