Amare isn't overpaid. His market value is spot on at his current salary of $15 million. The only overpaid player on that team is Shaq, and he's on his max contract from earlier on in his career.
Oh, and your second second makes no sense, whatsoever.

Amare is overpaid. He is a role player of Steve Nash.

Why? You said Suns boss wants to dump them because they are expensive players and the team has no shot at title. If they were not overpaid, that would mean only two things: they make less money or they play contenders basketball. Yes, the boss lost some money on WallStreet, but he would certainly be glad to pay them more if they make a contender.

Ok, I can see why you're a 2006 rookie. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. I'm not about to explain the dynamics of NBA market value and its salary system.

I don't even know how you understand what he's saying. I try not to be too picky about bad English but when I can't even interpret half the message...

Suns is in the rebuilding. The boss doesn't want to keep his young max player. That alone has said enough about Amare's value.

just watch a rockets game when Yao is on the floor and when Yao isn't...

Yao is arguably top 10 player in the game, No one in this league can stop him one on one, he gets double teamed and gets teammates easier shots through "hockey assists" and everyone players better when he is on the floor.

Yao is rather underpaid considering some of the high contracts such as Marbury.,,, and more.

This is akin to saying that a mansion isn't worth much if its broke owner would rather sell it than pay for its massive property tax.

    You should stop posting, btw.

Whether Yao is a Max contract player is debatable. But this idiot Freeman's article made it like Yao is a worse player than Kwame Brown and worth less than a pile of ****!
This only implied the write is a hater and lack of basketball knowledge.

Just the Marketability of Yao is worth 15 mill. The NATION of CHINA gets to work late to watch Rockets games. Les Alexader has made soooo much money off of Yao. The team has benefited by this.

Battier has a sponsorship, Scola and even Stevie had a sponsorship.

    Yao IS the Franchise.

whatever you say...YAO is this team so deal with it...LOL :D

I think people forgot that NBA is a business. In the business world, your ultimate goal is to make money...

If someone like Yao could make you $500 Million in 6 years or $1 Billion in 6 years, would you hesitate to offer him $130 Mil? Would you take the chance of insulting a guy like that by offering $50 mil for three years? It would be stupid for a GM not offering Yao a max contract, because I am sure that tons of other business minded NBA owners are willing to do that...

Your problem is that you always think Amare is a mansion. He is not. Suns doesn't want to rebuild around him. They dump him exactly the way orlando dumped TMAC, for a different reason though: TMAC was lazy while Amare is simply no-d stupid.

By the way, you should be more careful with identifying "mansion". There are a lot of shabby cabins in NBA you may mistaken as mansion.

Seriously, how much would Yao get if he was a "regular" african american, given that it would be just a change of skin. What is the market value for a 30-year-old 20-10 CENTER (after 2010)?
