    Buy a whole chicken for around $5 and bake it.

    Delicious.
    Healthy.
    Easy.
    Cheap.
    Feeds 4 - 6 people.

    Use pan drippings to make gravy
    Leftovers re-heat well for other meals.
    Use bones to make chicken stock or soup.

    You could live healthy on bananas and sweet potatoes alone.

    BTW, Walmarts number one seller last year: bananas.

    I am exactly the opposite. I love bananas...but I hate banana flavored anything or anything mixed with bananas.
