Dont ever underestimate how little atlanta cares about winning. They shave salary every chance they get.
Dirk will be going on 33 by 2010-11. Players have shelf lives. They don't last forever. The great ones get old, too. Stuckey has a lot to prove and if he is as good as he seems, Detroit will have him locked into an extension well before then.
People who are saying '10 is fools gold hasn't looked at the list. Dunleavy for example. You're telling me he's not a possibility? With Mac's number gone the Rockets can try to land one huge FA or a couple lower tier FA's. Take a look at the list for gods sake. Not every FA is going to resign with their team. Money talks and the Rockets will have a lot to blow
Yup I got a homeboy who knows sheed and he's a Piston fans who watches all the games. He said Sheed has been shooting too many jumpers this year. He's been frustrating to watch. Also said Sheed has mentioned retirement at the end of the season.
hmmm.. Bosh has a good jumper too.. after seeing Artest play.. i am really worried abt how each person fits in the offense... we just need shooters.. no ball hogs..
yup.. thats what each and every Detroit fan says.. Sheed takes too many jumpers.. just like T-Mac... never plays the post too much..
Bosh and Yao do not fit. He plays exactly like Yao but at PF and a little further from the basket. He's even "softer" than Yao and is used in Toronto very similar to how Yao is used here, i.e. gets the ball in the post, goes one on one or kicks it out after being doubled. If he plays with Yao they're REALLY redundant.
say we trade mcgrady for iverson now and iverson comes off the books after this year. then you can talk to teams that have the dunleavy's THIS summer instead of wait for another year. just saying.
Artest was brought here to be a scorer and defender off the bench. He has done that well IMO. The problem is, we didn't anticipate mcgrady playing so poorly. We need another guy who is a big time scorer in the half court. Bosh is that guy.
Thats because theyre both the number one option on their teams. Imagine them working together...You cant double both of them so theyll get alot of single coverage in the post, and more often than not, that will equal points. Bosh is certainly a better defender than either scola and Landry. So thats not a concern.
The one thing Sheed would bring though is defense and that is what this team needs at this point, but I don't like the idea of giving up Scola unless it brings us Chris Bosh and we are guaranteed to resign Bosh. Another name that popped up in my head was Monta Ellis but I doubt the Warriors would trade him even though he had the moped incident.
What good is having cap space after this season when it's after next season that everybody wants cap space for?
