I hope the Rockets end up with Butler or Carter....and I think both are available. The question is do we have enough to make it happen. Washington is in last place in the East and will be getting hit with the luxury tax next season if they don't unload some contracts ASAP...plus the luxury threshold is likely going to be lowered next year too. They don't really have a choice at this point - they have to unload one of their big contracts or else face the prospect of paying a lot more luxury tax money next year in the middle of an economic downturn. In other words, they will be losing A LOT of money next year if they don't sell now. As good as Caron/Jamison are, there isn't much sense in keeping them on a team that's losing more money and in last place. I can't remember where it was, but I know I read on ESPN in the last week or two one of their analysts suggest a Butler to Houston for Head/Artest trade as one that makes sense for Washington so that makes me feel a little better that it isn't just Rockets fans with grand delusions...but I bet Washington would try and get Houston to take another of their bad contracts(pick one) and I'm not sure Morey would be into that. Butler makes sense as a possible trade target(according to the Solomon rumor) too because despite the seeming obvious point that Washington needs to get rid of some contracts, they haven't been mentioned in hardly any trade talks.
Man Jamison or Butler would be amazing.....These guys bring so much energy and they do a little of everything including shoot. We need shooting so bad right now.
if nash is coming do not send ron artest..........because battier and tmac as your wings does nothing for us with nash at pg.....send battier and alston
sorry man, it has to be ron - he's expiring and phx is dying for expirings. do you not have confidence in wafer, the poor man's wade?
That's because Caron is untouchable, silly. The Wizards are my second team... You're crazy if you think you can reason around trading Caron Butler for anyone other than Yao. Caron Butler is THE most popular player on the Wizards... at this point, he's the only one putting fans in the Phone Booth. Despite what you think you know about the Wizards and the economy, the Wizards aren't going to trade away their main attraction for anything less than an established superstar.
Another PF? Another Injury Prone player with no loyalty? I think u must have read ur own uninformed mind.
gimme jamison, then. i've liked him better than butler anyway. what do you want? artest + whom will do?
Why not? He's healthy now and the best rental we can get for this season. Doubt the Rockets and Jazz consummate anything tho... that's like the U.S. and Iraq trading nuclear warheads.
hey solomon...did you just hear that Rafer will get his ass traded out of Houston??? I promise we'll all read ur blog more and more if thats true. oh and solomon u'll be known as king solomon if wat u've said is true...and it better not be earl watson
rockets fans on spurstalk said he heard it on the radio and he was hoping it wasn't true.....http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116917
Boozer would be a perfect fit for adelman. He can create his own shot, hes a great passer and shooter plus he's a great performer in the playoffs. Ill take Booz. The Jazz fans hate artest though dont they?
is he healthy now? yeah rite...hes as healthy as t-mac for most of the season. and you want a Jazzhol to come play?? Best rental = Andre Miller
If we played Utah again in the playoffs then Jamison and Okur would match up with that pf shooting 3's. That would be greatly appreciated. I've liked Jamison since his days in the Mav uniform. He is a good player.
Wont work unless you include Scola. Antawn is the Shane Battier of the Wizards, he's definitely the glue guy. He's attainable but only if we send Scola and take on the contract of one of Etan Thomas or Brendan Haywood. Etan is super injury prone and Brendan is a headcase that causes lots of problems off the court. I wouldn't want either on this team.
