Can't be Caron Butler...wizards will be top 4 EC team next year when everyones back... Agent 0--no comment needed top 3 lottery pick SG -- no comment needed Caron Butler -- all star player Antawn Jamison -- all star player Brendan Haywood -- top 10 Centre in the league Beat that...
I don't know if the Wizards are in the "let's wait until next year" mode. I think they've been doing that quite a lot over the last few years. I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking for a change or some cap relief. Ron Artest provides that, but nothing much for the remainder of the season. If the Wizards were that good, I think they would have won more games at this point, even without Gil. They're depleted with injuries, but their record is horrible even with Jamison and Caron. I don't know that Brendan is a top ten center, either. He reminds me of a Kelvin Cato type with just a tad more conisistency. But you're probably right; Caron is a pipe dream.
Brendan Haywood is as fragile as TMac. sic skillz, but meh..... yea, I know we ain't getting Caron, and probably not Bosh either, although I didn't think we were getting Artest. I wish we could just trade Tmac for Bosh......okay, I'm going back to sniffing glue.
i don't know why....but then i always think we should trade t-mac for a pure shooter like ray allen.....when yao ming gets doubled team, all we need is a guy who just knocks down three like 99 percent of the time and then we're unbeatable...in addition, he will also have a less-banged up body because all he will do is run screens.....i just hope they trade for this someone...
I was listening to a discussion on the radio this morning saying the rox never really go after shooters. I feel there is some truth to that. Besides Eddie Johnson or Matt Bullard, what pure shooters have we really had in a while? Our current roster doesn't have a pure shooter. Novak was the last one that may fall into that catagory. We need asomeone who can consistantly hit a jumper.
Unfortunately, Barry doesn't get on the floor much and when he does, he seems to be more interested in passing the ball than shooting.
Glen Rice was probably the only established pure shooter we've gone after in a while. I'm not sure the Barry brothers qualify.
I just read one article about the situation: http://www.courierpostonline.com/article/20090208/SPORTS03/902080362/1002/sports It sounds like Stefanski's decision to trade or not to trade Miller before the deadline will be based primarily on whether or not he thinks the Sixers can get out of the 1st round, not whether or not they can resign Miller. That is secondary. If Stefanski believes they can make the playoffs and win a round, he will hold on to Miller and try to resign him even if it isn't a "certainty." Here's a quote from that link: "If Sixers president and general manager Ed Stefanski thinks the team can get beyond the first round of the playoffs this season, he will keep Miller and focus on signing him to an extension." So, you're original statement that the Sixers "will Trade Miller for sure if they aren't certain they can resign him" doesn't sound accurate. It's more like if Stefanski doesn't think the Sixers can advance in the playoffs, then he'll trade Miller.
I bet they keep Head just in case because McGrady's in and out of the lineup so much. I'd say if it goes down, it's major. Artest most likely.
