deron williams is not dreaming big??? i think he's full of it.....just promoting his blog. wake me up when Mark Berman reports something
that is because he dominates the ball at all times......we are suppose to be a motion offense with RA.....Nash has only worked well in a run and gun type of offense
A Chron writer who is teasing the heck out of desperate Rockets fans, potentially just for hits. http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2009/02/post_75.html
He brings it when it counts. He raises his level of play in the playoffs. With all the other crappy players (Battier, Alston, Hayes, Head, and Dorsey) on this team, I can't believe there are people who want to trade Artest. What kind of case can you make for keeping Battier, Alston, Hayes, and/or Dorsey? Ron is probably the only player in the NBA that can hold the opposition's best player under his scoring avg while scoring 20 points himself. That unqiue skillset by itself makes the case for keeping Artest alone. Also, he's played well without T-Mac and with Yao. Who's going to guard the other team's elite player in the playoffs? T-Mac? Old man Battier? You need Artest.
since when a pg has to "dominate the ball" to get assists? but if you call dribbling the ball from the back court to the other half of the court (and running the best p&r there is) is "dominating the ball", then so be it. "Nash has only worked well in a run and gun type of offense"? that's a new one to me. how many times have you watched the suns play lately? do you call their current offense "run and gun"? with a 36 year-old shaq?
Updated: List of facts from Solomon's blog about this rumor: -it doesn't involve McGrady -it doesn't involve Caron Butler -the talks were preliminary and it is unlikely to happen -he includes a reference to an article saying Nash is likely untouchable in the same blog -it's going to promote the hell out of his blog on ClutchFans -"It can't be a straight-up deal, but as for coming this way, there is only one star-level player in the mix." (Solomon's own words) -asked why the deal is unlikely to happen, Solomon said, "It takes two to tango." (one party may not be interested) -Scola or Landry will most likely be involved in any significant deals (and his rumor sounds like it would be significant
if you were talking about ron in spurts from the past, then i agree. not the case (at least for the most part) this season. and how do you address the expiring contract situation?
Only 1 star involved? Is Ron considered a star? Alston+Battier for Nash/KH? I dont think those GMs are that stupid.
jokes aside, for now i can only take his piece as he knows something that has not been mentioned or been popular. probably in early and initial talks, too.
I would do a deal like that........but not artest right now with tmac not sure if he is playing this year or not
We don't need Artest. How are the Rockets doing with him? What the Rockets need to do is be smart and trade him now while he still has value (expiring) as, his value will plummet after this season is over. 20 cents on the dollar come summertime. The Rockets need somebody who can shoot and score from the SF/SG spot in case T-Mac's injury really is that serious. Ron is a one man show on offense. One on five when he gets the ball
a damn shame.. in that case.. I'm rooting for.. "unlikely to happen" i really don't see the point of trading Scola or Landry if you're not going to add to a deal involving Tracy..
Cmon International Business Machines, I asked you a series of questions in my response as well. Will you address those please? As far as the expiring contract situation, I would extend him and then trade T-Mac's expiring contract for Crawford, Jackson, and Randolph from Gstate next year. Also, I think you missed the part when I said Ron raises his level of play in the playoffs unlike Battier.
