He played well when we beat utah in OT he carried the team in that gam He played well when we beat boston in Boston,He also played pretty good the other night. Ron's problem is he doesn't play well with tracy he and Yao,rafer, wafer, barry, landry etc etc etc all play better game when tracy is out the lineup. I say chill on the trades and allow this group to gell. This team needs chemistry right now more than a trade
My wild guess, TMac or Artest to Detroit for one of these players: AI, Hamilton, Prince and Wallace. Fillers not considered here.
It sounds like Solomon is backtracking now: Not asking you to reveal anything but what are the odds the unspoken deal gets done and is it more likely to get done than any Carter deal(which I'm not for). --------------------------------------------------------- Solomon: Tricky question. Wouldn't say either is more likely than the other because both are unlikely. He also confirmed that this rumor doesn't involve McGrady. This was pretty obvious but he did confirm it.
As much as everybody loathes Skip, he will not be traded. For all his faults, he does a reasonable enough job running point and has a reasonable contract that expires after next season. Same with Tmac. If a deal is to be done it will be Ron or Ron and head. The question is for who
My gut feeling is that we won't get better by making a trade right now because our assets have limited/moderate value. It might result in tweaking things a bit which could have a bad effect as well.
Right now at the preset time he isn't a significant upgrade.Maybe individually but chemistry wise he has to be intergrated into a new system. The rockets need chemistry and bringing anyone in would take even more time to build unless it's a ex adelman guy.
It was all vague from the jump. everybody getting all high for nothing ,Reality is we don't have mega trading pieces to deal.
People act as if chemistry is a big deal. The Rockets haven't had a full lineup with everybody healthy for more then 5-10 games in a row. What chemistry? It's evident this Rockets team is going downhill, and they've stopped playing defense. It's also clear that the Rockets are not going to resign Artest after this year. Get what you can, while you can for him.
Yup. Solomon also stated earlier in that blog that he was working hard to be the first to report on it. My guess is he's been digging for information all day and just found out this rumor doesn't have legs which is why he is now saying both rumors are "unlikely."
Something could be in the works. Fritz's last message on his Twitter page was "Bracing myself for the winds of change (basketball version, not the Scorpions' kind).".
Chemistry IS important. But you can't sit there nitpicking a potential deal on the basis of how its going to affect the current Rockets team. The point is, this current team hasn't been healthy enough to form any sort of chemistry. The REAL point is get something for Artest now, with his expiring contract. Once the season is up the Rockets will not resign him and any sign and trade deal will not yield the type of big time player in return as you hope, as, Ron hasn't shown anything of deserving big time dollars once his contract is up
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=acowbj McGrady, Landry, and Head for Nash and Stoudamire. It's fun to dream.
I'd have to disagree with you on that. We traded for Artest one of "Adelman's Guys" and look where we are now. We need to trade Ron for something while we have his contract on hand.
