    From JONATHAN FEIGEN

With the Spurs scoring a season-low 75 points, the Rockets have held five teams to fewer than 80 points in 17 games. Only four opponents failed to reach 80 in all of last season, just five in the 2000-2001 season.

I've only seen a coupla games on tv that the rox play, but I must say their defense is improving, they're becoming much more scrappy and energetic. It's fun to watch. Only thing that I don't like sometimes is how they switch so many times. However, can't complain too much when they are fourth in oppoenents field goal %. Whoo hoo! The new and improved rox, it can only get better from here.

I'd give Yao a lot of credit, even if he doesn't block shots he changes the other team's way of attacking and causes a lot of pass outs. Cato and Griff are doing well too. Throw in Hawk and we have some new gems inside and on their 2 guard.

    Give Joaquin Hawkins credit too.

I think its mostly because of people in the middle intimidating shots....Yao, Cato, and EG had A LOT to do with it...Remind me of the old hakeem days when they drive in and see the big guy, they would get scared and kick it back out or throw up a brick because the presence inside....when you have shot bockers in the middle, perimeter guys like Stevie, Hawk, and Cat are more agressive and getting more steals and contesting more outside shots...They know that if they get beat, they'll have some great shot bockers/team defenders to back you up..
