What's so bad about Hayes as our PF?

    Oh they should defintely keep Chuck, and he should get solid rotation minutes. It's just that they should be from the bench unless Scola turns out to be a total bust. Our PF needs to have a midrange game or his man just doubles Yao and clogs the lane. Chuck has been more than we could have hoped for in an undrafted free agent, but I doubt there is a play off team in the league we could match up with where it would be considered advantage Hayes.

    I haven't really read through most of this thread, but I don't think people dislike Hayes. It's just that he's questionable starter material.

    He's fantastic off the bench, though. I LOVE the potential of a Scola/Hayes rotation.

    Hayes is a foul machine and does ok against mediocre teams, but will struggle against the good teams with good C/PF.

    No one is saying hayes sucks, just that he isn't token material. In the lakers game when hayes fouled out, the lakers commentators said, it's no big loss cause hayes is a token starter anyways.
