I could watch Women's MMA, College Gymnastics or Track & Field for days. I don't know if that makes them sports, or something else allllltogether.
Bodybuilding not a sport. I should say, if you got to be in top physical shape to compete at a high level (compete at something physical) then its a sport. I think bodybuilders are competing for looks. I thing Track and field is a sport. I dont know about baseball, its a little weird to me. I definetely dont think Golf is a sport, I see it alot like billiards. Sport= physical competition, head to head. That said, Arm wrestling...is it a sport? Thumb wrestling?
See I'd say weightlifting is a sport (Forgetting the drugs which I know, is a big thing to forget!), because its something you have to physically prepare for, you compete against other, your are pushing towards a goal and it does take it toll physically. How about things like Skydiving and base jumping?

Here's my definition. Anything where the crowd is required to be quiet during play can no longer be considered a sport. Sorry Tennis and Golf.
Golf is DEFINITELY not a sport neither is Nascar. IMO anything that doesn't require strength, endurance, or speed is not a sport. So the ones we all can pretty much agree on soccer, baseball, basketball, football, are in. I would also add track and field, swimming, volleyball, hockey, wrestling, and boxing. Crap like poker, billiards, bowling, darts, spelling bees are of course out. Golf I put in the same category as darts and billiards. There's a reason why so many amateurs play it. It's because they're too unathletic too do anything else. Nascar goes in the same category as spelling bees.
You have to have endurance to play World of Warcraft for 20 hours straight while drinking energy drinks and junk food, but that doesn't make it a sport.
Basketball players are great athletes too they jump so high like they have rocket launchers on their backs fly like they have wings run like gazelles
sorry, I might be in the minority here, but I see it more as a entertainment spectacle than a competitive sport......
I know not many people are going to agree with me, but I don't think baseball is a true sport. I mean, do the players even get a bit tired out there? They hit the ball and sprint a few bases and that's it. The players in the outfield basically stand there and do nothing. They even postpone games because the weather is "too cold". Baseball is probably the only sport besides golf and pool where you see a lot of unfit people playing.
ALL of those are sports. Video games are sports. Definition of sport:"an active diversion requiring physical exertion and competition " Just because you don't like a certain sport doesn't mean it isn't a sport.
Golf is the only sport that if you try to pick it up for the first time, you'll look like an absolute fool. I could run, throw, catch, shoot, skate, kick, defend, and dribble within a few minutes, but hit a golf ball? Not a chance. Basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis, golf, track and field: These are all sports.
