No horford or bazemore. Rockets suck at getting free agents.

We need to throw max at ryno and get solid wings and pg depth

Kick the can until 2017. Anderson doesn't deserve max... Players don't want to come here after last year because of the bs surrounding harden/Howard. Harden is gonna be the next to go

see if smith has another run in him and offer him 3 year/30m. then give europe a call and see if dorsey wants to make a comeback for the max. trade bev and brewer for curry and call it an offseason

On bright side we got alot of young dudes and trade assets if boogie goes bad in sac this time he will really get traded. And houston looks to be the spot. If im morey i give dwade 20 mill for 1 yr to be a mentor to harden. D-Wade taught lebron alot. I think he can do the same for harden. Next up we spend money on dmo, and ryno and we go and get solid back up pg to bev in bjennings. I think we be simmilar to last years blazers team. Also remember we can still go after biyombo, meyers leonard etc

    Have dysfunctional 2015-16 season
Watch as free agents avoid you like the plague
    Have mediocre 2016-17 season
Watch as free agents once again avoid you like the plague

YES! Put our eggs in the 2017 free agent basket!

Oh, and Harden one year closer/a year away from free agency.

If you can't lock up some decent players on reasonable longterm contracts... hand out some big 1 year deals, wait for some trade opportunities, and kick the can to next year...

I would think that with the cap expected to jump again next year, guys would be receptive to short term deals... and they would be motivated to do well for their next run at free agency...

Is someone like Harrison Barnes or even Cole Aldrich worth 20M? No... but if that's your best option available... hook it up for a year and hope for some magic...

I think people are forgetting that the Rockets were a pretty competent basketball team before Dwight Howard came here and made it to the No. 2 seed in the West with Dwight missing half of a season. Am I suggesting that they're going to be the No. 2 seed next year? Hell no. But things are not as doom and gloom as you guys make it seem.

They just need to surround Harden with a few quality guys and add some shooters and players that fit D'Antoni's system. They need to add a guy like Anderson and maybe 1-2 other solid rotational 3 and D type players. If they could add a guy who can make plays in that group, maybe a decent PG to challenge Beverley for the starting role, that'd be great.

They underperformed so much last season, that the media and the league will forget how good they used to be. Then the Rockets will actually win 48-52 games next season, get the 5th or 6th seed in the playoffs and show some positive momentum heading into the 2017 offeason, where the talent pool in free agency will look a hell of a lot better.

Sign Anderson, try to get Barnes and then use your cheaper role player contracts to secure other upgrades through trades like Love or Rubio. There's more ways to get improvement than just Horford or Kent freaking Bazemore. Horford is already on the wrong side of 30. If he picks the Rockets it's great and if he says no, it's not going to set the franchise back.

If the Rockets completely pivot and decide to tank, there's no better trade chip out there to rebuild with than Harden.

The worst case scenario is settling for mediocrity and I don't think Houston will do that. They were about to go into extended tanking mode before Harden dropped in their laps. Lin and Asik weren't taking the Rockets anywhere near the playoffs.

unless those assets are morley's moobs, I don't see us having enough to acquire that type of talent.

If he's the reason we can't get anyone to play here, is that a bad thing?
