I say sign Terry and give Big Al a chance would love to see Hayes back but I don't think it would be a great difference between him and Big Al...
By all appearances we're probably going to sign Hayes and Terry, then offer Montrezl a 1 or 2 year deal. I really wish we would opt to give Harrell a 3-4 year deal, but I understand the desire for flexibility.
No offense, but those are really bad ideas OP; extremely overpaid players and bad fits. They'll probably look at the following players: Ryan Anderson Danilo Gallinari Ersan Ilyasova Longer shots: Taj Gibson Patrick Patterson Dirk Nowitzki Markieff Morris
Bring back Jet and Chuck and go to war. This team is more than capable of winning the title barring injuries and Lawson head. We are right there with GSW, OKC, LAC, MEM and SAS
What's next? We are done. Lawson gives us our big 3 and we have depth at every position. Sign Terry and Hayes to vet min deals and Harrell to the rest of the MLE. Morey being the genius that he is has left options for a big trade. Lawson's non guaranteed contract is a huge trade chip but for whom would you want to give it up for? Let's be realistic the players in the league better than Lawson are not available. There's only two possibly available players that would be worth breaking up the current group for and that's Durant and Cousins if they demand to come here. So until that happens we sit tight. Honestly this maybe the most talented Rockets team dare I say ever? The championship teams didn't have this depth nor did the Yao/Tmac teams. Nor did they have a third player the caliber of Lawson next to the two stars. GS ran roughshod over the league last year with similar depth and if healthy this team has the potential to be just as good. Sit back and enjoy this is going to be a helluva season!
I was looking through the available FA list and the only names I liked were Seraphin and Boozer. Mavs will probably give Seraphin big money, but I'd be interested in having Boozer for the minimum if we can afford it. He can be a good insurance policy for our bigs.
