    See poll coming up.

My own guess is the Rockets will give him away for free. Won't get anything but won't have to pay like with Francis and David Andersen, either since his salary is small.

You have to pay a 2nd round pick for someone kindly taking him.

    He is free,

Rockets sends his salary + JT for a heavily protected second round pick.

    LOL at 2nd round pick.

We drafted him in the 2nd round and his value has tanked since then.

Rockets will be around $4M over the tax. Maybe Hayes is traded to reduce that amount and to free up minutes for Hill?

Do you think so? As a second round pick he didn't have heavy expectations on him. He's been saying all the right things and hasn't seen enough court time to make heads or tails of his true ceiling. I think he still has some value (not much).

Why is everyone so down on Hayes? Since we got Dampier everyone says to get rid of Hayes and keep Hill and Paterson.

I voted 2nd rounder, but with any luck, maybe we can get Kobe Bryant for him. i didn't see that option though unfortunately.

How did you manage to spell a word correctly and then immediately after that you misspell it?

Anyway, his value is negative at this point, especially as other teams know we HAVE to trade him right now, to make room for Dampier.

He's worth more than just a second-rounder. Typically, you use your 2nd-round pick and hope it turns into a JT. I could see JT and our 2nd-rounder turning into a low first-round pick. It isn't unusual for a team to trade a low first-round pick, which is guaranteed, for a high 2nd, which is not.

People draft 2nd rounders in the hopes that they become D-leaguers?
