Come on, dude. i've gotten lots of suggestions from these threads on new bands i've never heard of. Esp. from posters like mr. brightside, thegary, flyer, etc. So what, lots of people post indie bands, that's the kind of music they like and if you're not into them, post something you like or choose not to post at all. It's not a big deal... Personally I like all kinds of music and a lot of times I'll check out stuff that other posters recommend.
I just really started listening to them recently. I saw they were going to be at CC. I'll probably go.

Absolutely hysterical how many replies he has received in this thread by people who keep telling him to "ignore it if he doesn't like it." Totally awesome that y'all can't do the same thing.
Mine may be hit or miss, but they're always original. This, on the other hand... Look, I've been steering clear of these threads for a couple years. But they do get old. The fact that you posted this one when Manny had the same type of thread posted at the same exact time was just a dumb idea, and you got called out on it. At least give the rest of us a one month hiatus when the other one finally dies down.
From the sound of it, people are just whining because they hate every music thread started...not to mention, in the other thread someone even mentioned the "whats in the cd player thread" was better. I searched the forum, couldnt find the old one to dig up, thus the new one. I guess what i'm getting out of this is, i shouldnt post music threads, because i'm a music elitist and i am trying to flaunt that...i guess we'll just stick with "do you pee in the shower" threads. Would a mod please just delete this thread. Thanks.
Actually, I posted in Manny's thread that I didn't really like it too much since the thread moved too fast and I could never keep up. The only ppl posting after a while were Manny, Lil Pun and RM95, and they were posting about every 2 minutes, but I digress. I like the "whats in your cd player?" threads because it is a more structured way of seeing what new music ppl are listening to these days.
by 'steering clear' do you mean you have been reading and posting in the threads about how much you hate them, because it seems like thats what you do whenever they come up? if i dont like a thread i dont read it. ill never understand what the difficulty with that concept is.

You have a point but it is also absolutely hysterical how people like you and longinthetooth and others that complain about these types of threads keep posting in them. You would think that if you didn't like a thread, you would want it to die down and go to the 2nd page of the forum. Yet, every time, "a complainer" posts in these threads, it bumps them back to the top. So, as a result the "complainers" are promoting these threads by keeping them at the top of the forum. Talk about some delicious irony there. So keep whining about these threads - it's the best thing y'all can do.

Be sure and search these threads then. I haven't made a derogatory comment in one in a couple of years, and there have been dozens in that time span. The only reason I posted in this one was the fact that y'all couldn't ignore a post in this thread, yet you were asking him to ignore the thread. A good ol' pot-kettle thing. I decided to make that point.
