Just watched some of the "Greatest Video Hits" DVD yesterday ... there's about an hour on there of Nikki and Tommy just talking about the stories behind each video. Good stuff. Supposedly there's some Easter eggs on there too ... haven't found out where they are yet though.
Currently listening to Lontano by Ligeti as performed by the Berlin Philharmoniker. This CD also has Atmospheres and Apparations on it and other selected works by this great unknown composer.
I saw these guys open for the Fiery Furnaces and Unicorns a couple of months ago, and they stole the show. Thanks reminding me! Where'd you get it?
I can't stop listening to the new Faces boxed set. Someone mentioned Carla Bozulich (sp?) earlier in the thread, I have to look her stuff up again. I was a big Geraldine Fibbers fan a while back and forgot all about her.
Jimmy Buffett - License to Chill This is the new one with lotsa duets with C&W types. As one of life's greatest mysteries, why do C&W male singers in their singing sound like they are constipated from birth? They talk like normal folk, so what is up with that!
Moving onto Penderecki including his Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima - some of the most harrowing music I have ever heard.
