With a 7'6 center and a 6'8 sg/sf and really no one else I would say that the rockets have been predictable for about 4 years now. Throw the ball down to Yao and try to make something happen. I respect and love RA but these are still not the players for his offense.

Where are the back door cuts and so on. No one is running the offense. Throw to Yao wish for a double team kick it out and shoot the 3. Thats basically our offense. Might as well kept Jeff if this is how things are going to be.

We have 2 guys that like to dribble, and only one is good at it.

Ron Artest is the main problem he is a lump out there on O.

It's predictable but it's one of the most basic ways of running your offense. Feed the ball to the big man, everybody stand there and wait for the ball and shoot the 3. Rockets did the exact same thing with Hakeem Olajwuon under Robert Horry, Clyde, Kenny, etc....

The problem is that they are denying Yao the ball, Hakeem would destroy the fronting today, because he's a million times more mobile and a million times more versatile. I think this problem still needs some fixing, but I hope it will be fixed before Game 6 Starts.

Luis Scola has been our leading scorer in this series. That's not a good sign for our offense.

I wouldn't say that, they are sandwiching Yao. Leaving Luis Scola dead open and he gets an easy mid-range jumper that he has been hitting all season long.

Yesterday, we saw them front him single coverage though. I just wonder if Nate McMillian called Jeff Van Gundy the night before.

It is a great sign, he is the one the Blazers have left open.

If Ron would actually hit 40% of his shots, this series would be over.

Right now we have 2 defensive players in Battier and Ron and one of them is choking and chucking....

easy mid-range jumper is the problem. That was the shot they like you to take.

Scola hit 7 jumper out of 9... that's fool's gold. it helped some but Rockets can never win with jump shooting. We can not afford to trade jumpers with them. Jump shooting should be Blazers' game.

We need to attack in the paint.

next game, if we see Scola and Yao try 10 jumpers combined before the half, we should know the game will be a loss.

I could not disagree more with group 3. Have you forgotten game 4 already? Those two guys that "have no say in the game", won us the game.

He's played very well and taken what the defense gives him. I don't think our offense is at its best when we're relying on the PFs to carry most of the scoring load. We're not going to be able to generate enough points unless Yao, Artest, and/or Brooks get more involved and more efficient.

To be honest durvasa, if it wasn't for Scola, we would have most likely lose the series right now. We are so lucky to have this guy, hes a great player.
