DOn't you know, the republicans just say their candidate is being smeared whether she is or not, and that gets people riled up. it's a brilliant strategy. Talk about playing a "card"
You are so full of it...The point was made to contrast the higher level of experience ONLY after the fact those scoffed at her role in being a mayor as an issue...It was transparent in the media and here for display as well before her speech... There is no indignation for a community planner, but besides that you have to offer more levels of meaningful experience (other than being a good script orator to be qualified)... Palin offers just that with a record of shaking things up and exposing others...Obama talks...
What's funny is that he didn't hire an Abramoff lobbyist to weasel millions upon millions of federal tax dollars to spend on a small town and that he didn't leave his homegrown orginization with $20 million dollars in debt.
The Democratic partisans have been arguing that being a small town mayor has no relevance but being a community organizer is just chock full of experience. The argument has been absurd. My uncle was a small town mayor, and the job is fraught with responsibility, planning and headaches. It is a far more responsible position. Community organizaters have nobility of purpose but don't seriously compare in any other way.
I'm so full of it. I love how you're painting this as if community planner is where it stops for Obama. As if that's the height of his meaningful experience. oh, yeah..and he's a U.S. Senator. But I mean...really it's the community planner stuff that made the Dems nominate him. Please.
I would take the president of the Harvard Law review and a "community organizer" who registered a 150,000 poor people to vote when he was a young man over the head of the local PTA any day of the week.
can you at least reference a time you heard obama say my experience as a community organizer qualifies as executive experience?
Then you haven't been listening. Obama took a swipe at her by saying his campaign budget for the month is several times larger than the annual budget of Wasilla, AK. He also made light of the small number of employees of the city. no cred....
I heard Biden stand up this morning and say she's experienced and formidable. I didn't hear him dismiss her as a person...or dismiss the role of mayors in this country. I heard him dismiss her speech as lacking in substance.
And Palin is governor of a state with a multi-billion dollar budget, 14 administrative departments, etc. etc. That give her more experience than an absentee Senator who scarcely knows the way to his own Senate office.
You do realize that was a response to an attack from the mccain campaign disparaging obama's executive experience and trumpeting hers with her mayoral status? ho ho ho i love you.
That's nice. Did you hear Obama take a swipe at her? I noticedhow you chose not to respond to that statement. telling...
