Just give it time. Ya, SF is going into his 5th year, but he didn't have much help before Yao came along. Ya'll haven't given SF and Yao more than a single regular season to gell and trading anyone gives them no chance. Breaking them up could mean breaking up a duo that can be the most dangerous in the league.

Just imagine what damage Marbury and Garnett could be doing right now if they were still together. Garnett is the BEST player in the league and Stephon has learned how to run an offense and be a leader and now he is considered the 2nd best PG. (By the way, it took Marbury 8 seasons to figure this out)

I'm telling ya'll, SF and Yao have the ability to be GREAT, but it won't happen overnight. This is Yao's first training camp, last year they threw him on the court and hoped things would work themselves out, it didn't. We brought in a coach that can bring order to the team, have a set offense, have a set defense, organization. Just give them a freaking chance to make things work.

Everyone was so pissed when the jerseys didn't say "Houston" on them, but most of us don't fully support our team and want to point fingers. Come on guys, lets bring it back:

    BELIEVE!! ;)

RealGM puts that stuff on automatically when you use their trade checker. No one uses the change in team outlook when deciding whether or not a trade is good.

You must mean "Jay Williams." Saying Garnett is better than "Jason Williams" is like saying chocolate is better than vanilla. Believing Garnett is better than "Jason Williams" totally leaves out strawberry.

Other than LeBron James (not on your list), the above are the only ones I liked.

The only reason that Barron is bundled with another player is because of his questionable knee injury.

While it true that it's best for players to be themselves. What do you do when fans don't like who thoes player are? Not just Francis, but Cato, Griffin, Cat, Moochie...you name it...

So, its not that Francis must be "Iverson" or that Francis must be "Marbury." Its that Francis must play at the same level of those players.

If you think that we are just going to stand around and just let Francis "be himself." Well, that's a bunch of "joy to the world-kumbaya" singing!

We can start singing "kumbaya" once we win a championship. Until then, debate and being critical of players will continue.

If New Jersey gets sold and moves to Long Island Jason Kidd wants to be traded. If that happens how about Kidd for Francis?

Um, many actually do consider francis better than Iverson... and many do consider francis beter than marbury also... Even if Marbury is better , its becasue the one game the suns were up by to make the playoffs!!! ONE game!!!!!

Wow! Even stat mongers would disagree with you on that one. Forget about actually watching them play. Sorry, but one player is efficient, one is not.

The "ONE game" is just the cherry on top.

That would make Garnett or Duncan the second/third best player in the league -- not the "best."

What does "personal hatred" have to do with this discussion?

I posted this in an earlier thread, just think it's kind of funny this may be just around the corner and we haven't even started the regular season:

"2) Steve is known for making his feelings known if he is not on board with certain ideas or direction in which things are headed. (An old saying keeps popping into my mind every time I try and give Steve my full support ", how you meet your man is how you loose you man!" (My mom use to tell my sister this when a guy would try to start dating my sister while he was still in a relationship.) Steve made a very unprecedented move by stomping his feet, crossing his arms, and sticking his nose in the air when he learned he would go to the then Vancouver Grizzlies. I still am waiting to reap those seeds that we sewed for that move. Not that we were totally wrong for making a that any other team may have made in the same position. But I can't help but feel that Steve undermined the sense of fair play of sportsmanship and we helped him do it. Does anyone honestly think he would have sat out a year? Look at the backlash J.D. Drew received for years for pulling the same antic. I want to believe that he had a legitimist grievance and had no another choice, but I can't help but feeling that he behaved like a crybaby and was looking out for self. (I know I'm going to get slammed for this.)"

I will tell you this, he will loose a lot of crediability around the league if he does try to force a trade. I would think that several GM's would be hesitant to bring in someone that potentually:

    A) would bring down the overall production of the team (unless he is a 2)
    and
    B) could in the future pull the same antic he pulled when he was drafted and again in a trade.

This does not go unnoticed around the league, and I can almost guarantee that this will be a sore subject of conversation, in a lot of sport shows if he does try to force a trade, that will put Francis in a very bad light.

My problem with that is his "stock" will drop, and we potentually loose on almost any trade.

-Thank God I'm not Francis but he was quick to take the no. 3, he always looks to shoot first, and Iverson is the one of the best guards in the NBA; Francis is not.

"How do you know that??? Are you Steve Francis? Are you in his mind?? Have you spoken to him and he told you I wanna be Iverson, I think I am him??? Francis is Francis."

-Francis is Francis, but that doesn't change the fact that he wishes he was Iverson. So, I guess Kobe doesn't want to be MJ?
Nobody knows, right? We are not Kobe.

"What offense?? I love Rudy but the past 4 years the ROX have had no kind of offensive system. He sets up guys and they don't knock down shots, it's not his fault that EG can't hit open jump shots, or Posey couldn't hit a 3 if his life depended on it and on and on. Francis has his shortcumings as does every player in the league but I am sick and tired of him being blamed for every single thing. This is a TEAM, they all should get a fare share of critism."

Rudy had little to no structure.. true, but if Francis was a better pg then he would've done a better job creating shots for other players. you know.. making his teammates better? and EG hit a good number of open shots, and the ones he missed? well, it isn't his fault that Francis is too busy trying to outdance his opponent instead of PASSING. And there is no place to criticize Posey. The Rox wouldnt have been anywhere near the playoffs without Posey. And to state that, "this is a TEAM..." Tell that to Francis, he's the one who claimed the Rockets as "his team". And I don't care if he takes that role (the rockets as "his team") but if he wants that role then he needs to take the responsibility of winning and losing.

    So F@#k You Mah B!^@h!!!! and take your **** out of Francis's @$$. That's Mobley's job.

    LOve,
    San

Who considers Francis better than Iverson and Marbury? Francis lovers on the board? Because both Iverson and Marbury have taken their teams to the playoffs (FRANCIS HASN'T) and Iverson has a number of scoring titles, all-star appearances and MVP. Francis has what???? one All-Star appearance???? he's bigger than Iverson. That's all.. It's like comparing Grant Hill to Jordan. stop it already.

Why don't we just move Francis to shooting guard and get a role player point guard. Iverson started his rookie year as point. Then moved to shooting guard and blew up. I think Francis would do the same.
