I would package Francis, Cato, and E. Griffin for J-O, Tinsley and a future 1st rounder. Ming and J-O would be the best twin towers ever assembled and with a backcourt of tinsley and mobley you can't go wrong. Our roster would be set for a dynasty. Here is how it would look. And how could the pacers say no.

    Rocks line-up:

    Ming/Amachi
    J-O/Taylor
    JJ/A. Griffin/Nachbar
    Mobley/Pike
    Tinsley/Norris/Wilks

    Pacers:

    Cato/Foster
    EG/Pollard
    Artest/Harrington/Bender
    Miller/Fred Jones
    Francis/Anderson

The pacers would have the best team in the eastern conference for the next five years. Key word Eastern Confernce. The Rocks would own the West. :D

I was thinking this too. Or something to that magnitude. If we absolutely had to give up Francis, I would want a young up-and-coming prospect like Richardson and a bonus player like Dunleavy or the up-and-comer and picks. Ming's not ready to carry this team by himself, and we have to have another star to compliment him.

I wouldn't trade SF for nothing less than JO, Garnett, T-Mac, Nowitzki. SF is already in the elite class of the NBA (like above), and has the ability to be Great. Steve hasn't had much help since he took over this team, Yao is exactly what we need, but he needs time too. I think this team has a chance to gell togeher and be great team. Let's go with this team and give it a chance.

    Remember the ol' days: BEILEVE!!

i simply must know where you look up your fg% stats. weren't you the one telling us jim jackson shot worse than someone, only to be proven wrong (if not jj, it was someone)? now you tell us steve shoots worse than gilbert arenas when steve is ahead in fg%, 3pt%, and ft%. so where do you get your stats?

didn't they try out someone from the jail league a few years ago...

we wouldn't want to trade SF to own the rights to a player when they're in their 40s when they can step out on the court again for a full season.

yes, todays testimony was very bad for Kobe...

the trade i'd do would be with chicago. crawford, one of the "high schoolers" & their 1st rnd pick for SF & our 1st rnd pick

Griffin cato and frincis for tinsley and J-O????????
i woudn't trade francis alone for tinsley and J-Oand there are more. if we trade francis for 2 mediocre player i would be verry upset.

I check up on stats through the year.Last year about 3/4 through I checked up on Arenas and saw he was a better 3point% shooter than Steve so I basically took note and didnt check back. I check them in nba official cite. The other guy I was proven wrong on was Artest. Sorry about that.

Who would broker the deal? Francis is BYC. We need a team with cap room to participate, and they need some incentive like picks or money.

Trade Francis next year. Give him a shot with JVG this year.

Basically, he's damaged goods in a trade. Good luck getting players. Expect to get some problems back.

Francis is only tradeable right now because of the following:

    1. Rudy T. is no longer the coach of this team.
    2. Yao Ming is the main vocal point now.
    3. JVG (see #2)

Well last season I was just wiling to trade Francis for just an average player. I don't hate him but I do believe he is extremely expendable. While he still has value I say we trade him.

I remember when everyone wanted to trade Hakeem.

Better pray Francis stays happy- or you better get a very sure thing in return- superstar quality, because as Francis matures he will become more dominant.

Don't you wish you were the one who traded away McGrady or J O'Neal or Kobe-- All of them became great after maturing and a trade.

Hey if Francis bombs out he will have to turn around and head the other direction because he's got the talent and if he keeps improving he will be a superstar in the league.

McGrady and Kobe were teenagers when they were traded. And O'Neal was what 21 maybe 22? Francis is now 26 going on 27 and has shown ZERO improvement in 4 years. If he doesn't adhear to JVG and his philosophy I think it is time to look at shopping him. If Steve does not improve upon the things that he needs to this year, we will be looking at 5 straight years with ZERO progress! We have to maximize the talents of Yao and surround him with the right complimentary players it will take to win a championship. Championships are EXPECTED from Yao Ming!
