I don't remember Steve travelling at all last night, but I've watched that clip of the GW layup several times, and he most definitely did NOT travel on that play.

Anyone have a clip of the break with the Scola layup? I would think I'd remember questioning if he got away with one there...

Either way, there were plenty of no-calls on either end.

100% agree. The ball handlers were patient with yao and kept pounding it to him. He sucked in the first quarter and gave 6 TOs but with phoenix in early foul trouble (mainly bell, and stoudemire who love hacking at him) it helped free up Yao's game.

Officiating though I admit was pretty bad, there were a few more calls that helped us. If suns fans wanna btch bout francis walkin on those drives, they needa check themselves and look at barbosa palming the ball. He's notorious for that and gets away with it! (though I think he got a call last nite for it :) )

The key was yao's game, and barbosa's shooting 2-11. Cutting off passing lanes really hurt nash's game and forced him to be the primary scorer, which didn't get everyone else involved.

And thank god Violet wasn't officiating this game. We woulda been out pretty early with more phantom calls because of her crazy-calling.

I think a lot of it has to do with transition d. The Rockets really got back on d real quick the majority of the game. Great win!

Steve travels a lot on fast breaks, he traveled on the last layup, and I'm amazed that he never gets called for it in any game.

But hey, whatever works out best for us is a good thing! ;)

Relax holmes. Remember, these are the people who actually think Shawn Marion plays basketball. Shawn Marion is the biggest joke ever, he can't even shoot the ball. He more or less pushes the ball into the air and hopes it goes in.

I visit almost any NBA forum where there is an Argentinean player on the team, and i can say almost sure that the forum that is more "doomz" prone is the SpursReport, those guys have won 3 of the last 5 and still there is a doomz thread and bashes to players on almost every single night the team underperform (and i am not saying looses, just underperformances).

It´s kind of a sick guys forum.

Oh, Steve traveled alright. At least twice, but he's so difficult to officiate, because sometimes it looks like he's traveling, but he really isn't. Oh well, as long as the call was in our favor.

I may be wrong but the last shot stevie made was not a travel at the end of his spin i think he jumped off the wrong foot to avoid a travel.

You're right. It was one of the worst-called games this season, but at least it was bad for both teams. The refs were just letting the players play and there were many times the refs let the Rockets get away with things, like the play where it should have been a backcourt violation and TMac hit a three or one of Steve's drives where it looked like he traveled.

why do they say our commentators are homers. There are other ones way worst in the league. They only seem homers when fouls aren't called for Yao, but anybody would those are obvious. In my opinion, They are some of the most fairest commentators in the league. They'll even say when an opposing player is fouled and doesn't get the call.

If they don't call this travel on Stevie then they never will.
