What's a Food You Find Tasty That Nobody Else Does

Yuck! Some friends of mine are British and they love Marmite...and those gross little British chips with marmite on them.

Tastes like burning.

 

No, they are different organs. Liver is very dark in color and has a rich texture. Gizzards have a lighter color, almost reddish, and are very, very tough. After working in a chicken plant sorting/processing these organs, I doubt very much that I will ever eat them again in my lifetime.

 

Didn't know many folks ate gizzards, I always use 'em to bait crab traps.

Sane, I have tried goat/calf fries, don't think I'll do that again.

Rattlesnake is tasty, as are frog legs & turtle soup. People should eat more reptiles & amphibians.

Anyone ever try beef tongue?

 

Snapping Turtle Soup is very very good. The way the catch them is nutz though. Basically you find a Turtle hole, reach in and pull it out and then kill it. Considering a Snapping Turtle can take fingers off I think I'll continue to let others catch them for me.

My Mom used to buy a Deli meat that they called cow tounge. I don't know if it really was a cows tounge sliced, but it was nasty.

Has enyone ever had Liverwurst?

That has to be the worst sounding thing I have heard of in a long while. Are you being sarcastic and if not what is the recipe? I cant imagine this being good.

Yeah, my folks get one every year when my grandma takes a calf to the butcher, seen 'em in the freezer but never seen them eat one. Never tried it myself, don't plan on it either.

 

I totally dig chicken gizzards. However, in my experiences, the livers have always been the rougher organ. Like them both though.

They have a good liverwurst/bratwurst combo at Jason's Deli. If you've ever had the hankerin' for liverwurst, that's where I'd try it.

As for cow/beef tongue, it shreds really easily and It has a texture I don't care for. I think only old people like it.

 

I like Tuna from a can, i eat it right out of the can actually, i dont know too many people that like it.

 

Beef tongue is aite sometimes, Tuna out the cans pretty good too. Ranch dressing is addictive

O yea, Bar B Q sauce on anything from any fastfood chain not named taco bell and pizza hut

 

Dude: Try a whopper with any sauces; take it home and pour Stubb's BBQ sauce on it and enjoy.
