Brussel Sprouts and Asparagous are some of my favorite vegetables and highly underrated in the taste category.

When I went to public school (during the Last Age) and brought ham sandwiches, I loved making a layer of potato chips on the sandwich. Yum! Anyone else like that? And I'm crazy for Greek food. It's almost impossible to find anything except Gyros here in Austin.

I also love a banana, cinnamon and peanut butter sandwich. (drool)

I grew up eating watermelon with bacon sandwiches. Sounds like a weird combination, but it's great... an East Texas thing, I guess. My Dad was crazy for it and always looked forward to getting good watermelon so he could fry up the bacon.

Does anyone here like boiled peanuts? I tried it once. It was HORRIBLE!

I used to put chips on my sandwiches when I was a kid, too. IIRC some place near me has burgers with fries as a layer.

Salted dried plums. Everyone else I know who was not brought up in the Far East just puckers up real good when they put one of these suckers in their mouth. Wait til they try salted dried lemons!

Question.... How are Chitlins? What are they tast associated with? I've always said I'm willing to try anything once, but these have never been offered.

Also, ever have pigs feet? This is the one thing I know where to get, but I'm always too apprehensive to buy them, mainly because I wouldn't know what to do with them.

Another awesome thing my parents won't touch is fried cabbage.

Also, fried beef liver with tabasco is preetty gooood too.!

Peel a lemon, and swallow. That's what I do sometimes. I know it's really bad coz of all the acid, but I got used to it I remember when someone told me it would get rid of my pimples. It worked btw, lol.

My uncle definitely would be ranked #1 in this game. Goat balls anyone?

I didn't think so. Yes, I've seen him eat them. Just thininking about it makes you sick doesn't it?

    good question.

hmmmm... chitlins are a tad bit less chewy than calamari. people season them in very different ways, so there's not really a particular taste. well... most people drown them in hot sauce anyway, so basically they taste like less chewy calamari in tabasco sauce.

by the way, i hear that you don't just eat anybody's chitlins because not all clean them as well. i've only eaten my granny's, aunt's, and dad's chitlins.

pigs feet? gross. i'm more likely to eat a gefilte and egg cassarole.

My wife likes/cooks a lot of "southern cusine". What I used to hate but now like if cooked right include:

    Eggplant,
    Greens (Mustard, Collard, Turnip),
and even Grits (but only my brother-in-law can cook them like I like)

When we lived in Malaysia, my dad lived off of Vegemite and butter sandwiches. The aroma made me want to puke.
