It wouldn't be so bad, really.
For one thing, you would probably have the option of eating what JV is having:
Steak, chicken, or pork chops sauteed, broiled, or baked (as appropriate).
Plain pasta with butter, salt and pepper (you can add your own cheese) Or potatoes (wide variety of acceptable preparations) Or rice, couscous, gnochi, freshly baked bread, etc.
Tomatoes, carrots, sauteed green beans, red leaf lettuce, fresh corn, cucumbers...

    OR

Whatever I am having which, for expediency is usually what JV is having but if I am entertaining it could be:

Any cuisine, any food from that cuisine. Prepared from scratch with the best ingredients and with all of the culinary skills I learned in culinary school and professional kitchens.

We actually eat quite well, so I think you'd be well satisfied, unless you can only eat fastfood. I am very much a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I think if you could tolerate a thick steak, I could feed you. Besides that, we're both good cooks and my wife has a culinary degree. Since she doesn't have an opportunity to cook whacked out things for me, she'll always make something complicated for guests.

(Btw, in addition to fungus, I also forgot to add sauces (except au beurre) to my list.)

As for my phobias, believe it or not, I've actually improved quite a bit in the last decade or so. Drapg may have me beat, though, if that really is his entire list. I have at least twice the variety.

    I don't like:

-potato salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad (they all look and smell like they've been regurgitated)
    -green peas
-bell peppers (though I love poblanos - I wish everyone would substitute them instead)
    -McDonald's
    -alcoholic beverages
    -hot dogs
    -popcorn
-most vegetables if they're just prepared by themselves and not seasoned
-most frozen food/ cheap processed food (what do you do, though. I hate to cook)
    -pork chops
    -mashed potatoes
    -mayonnaise
    -ketchup
-any "chicken nuggets" that are not made from one intact piece of white meat
-pineapple on pizza or other weird sweet and salty combinations

There are posters on this board who can verify the truth to my list.

What can I say... I pretty much only like sweet food.

Works out, I suppose...no one wants to eat with you, the smelly armpit, in the room.

[Just kiddin'...I just thought of it, and had to use it.]

    I don''t eat:

    Mustard
    Any mayo-based salad
Come to think of it, any non-traditional salad.
Tofu and any of the foods that try to pass this stuff off as meat
    Any soy replacements for meat
    Sushi and other uncooked meats.
Lamb, most pork, lots of beef
    Raw tomatoes
    Tuna
Sweet meat - as seen in lots of North Indian food and other Asian food(Meat is not supposed to be sweet!).
    For the most part, beer.
Most of the stuff drapg eats

I'll agree with the Dr. Pepper votes. I don't like them at all.

The year was around 1979 when I was in third grade. My teacher, a nun, said I had to finish my cornbread from lunch. I had to bring it back to the room to finish, I hated cornbread and I hated even more when I finally finished around 3 o'clock.

    Cornbread sucks.

Was it plain, old, regular cornbread? If so, you should try sweet cornbread. It's awesomely better. :)

Ketchup, Mayonaise (just the smell of it makes me sick) and mustard. I don't like green beans, white limas or black-eyed peas. Yet I will eat pufferfish and eel. Go figure.

    Vegetable...;)

I agree though...good stuff when it's ripe. At the very worst, it's a very neutral taste, so I don't see why anyone would dislike it that much.

Agree with that, even though it's something like 93% water.

    I like almost all foods...lol

The exceptions- Watermelon and other melons, any kind of nut, liver or sweetmeats except in boudain or menudo...and while I appreciate a good steak or crabmeat and crawfish stuffed redfish...I have a soft spot in my heart for extremly low quality food and drinks.

Taco Bell cusine.....Cheap watery light beer (Keystone light is my favorite) cheap ass fortified wine...Off brand frozen Pizza...Hot dogs from ball parks and movie theaters
