Bonzi Wells looked fine... Although he did look a little out of place and his defensive rotation wasn't good... Maybe that'll change when he have more team chemistry... They never went to Bonzi... and one possession that they did... it was stolen. I say give it time... Bonzi will do better. I think Bonzi would play better with TMAC than with Yao. I mean in SAC, he's used to the Center (Brad Miller) feeding him the ball in the post. That's not going to be happening here when Yao's in the game. I think Bonzi would do better when TMAC is on the floor. It's because TMAC is a play maker - he demands double teams and have the ability to set Bonzi up.
bonzi looked out of sync and out of shape, which are to be expected, since he has had little practice. The good news is if he does indeed want to and continue to, be willing to work hard, joined the team, practice, etc he should gradually play himself into shape and get back to the player he was last year.
I thought Bonzi looked pretty bad at first (like, the first 30 seconds) but after a bit he showed some potential (that word sounds bad...Swift reminder..) and when JVG took him out the camera went to Bonzi and he looked pretty pissed off. Either he's willing to work hard to get in the rotation or he just doesn't like JVG anymore! I hope it's the former.
