Look a bit lost, probably not familiar with our team's plays.

Wells caused 2 quick TO at the beginning of 3rd quarter which really hurts rockets and let the lakers run. From what I saw, he seemed missed in the game. But his presence make rockets lineup matched lakers on physical size. I think Wells really want to play. When he was substitued, he growled. I hope JVG dont abondon him. What a waste.

JLIII did more in his first 3 minutes than Bonzi did in 5 minutes. JLIII has sat out almost as many games as Bonzi. Bonzi ain't quite there yet. He needs more playing time. He didn't seem to know how to play with Yao and his other teammates. He did get a good early pass to Yao though.

He doesn't look fat to me, right now.

He looked pretty off, and made a bunch of mistakes. I don't think it was bad attitude or lack of effort, though. He's just tentative and rusty. I think he should get some more chances, maybe spot minutes for a while.

He looked like Michael Jordan, minus the part about Michael Jordan :)

I hope he keeps working hard and makes an impact soon

Definitely wasn't looking to score, his pass to Yao for a dunk was OK, just a straight overhead pass to a wide open Yao. He has a feel for rebounding, has a sense of where the ball is going to come off the rim and positions himself there. Definitely needs practice to work off the rust so I wouldn't expect that he's going to contribute significantly until Jan.

Judging by the press conference, Van Gundy apparently considers it a mistake to have started him in the third quarter instead of Luther. "That's on me", he says.

He looked rusty and slow. But I think he gave a good effort. There were TO's from having not been on the floor, and fouls from being too slow (I think he moved slower than he expected and picked up at least one of those fouls). Bonzi is a veteran so I would hope his learning curve, as it were, is steep.

Wow. Start the guy who has played in like what...two games? I don't think so. I'm losing IQ points left and right here.

I was at the game watched him shoot around at half time, made most of his shots but in the 3rd he looked kind of lost, doesnt look like we know how to put our offense around his type of player yet. Players jacked up shots before passing the ball to him it was interesting. He did hustle a little bit even though it led to fouls and sitting 4 rows behind lakers bench i still couldnt hear what him and Kobe were whispering about.

He started the 3rd quarter. Rockets lost 30-13. Any questions? :D

OFFICIALLY starting the "WE MADE A MISTAKE WITH BONZI" movement here.

Again, he has played a tottal of 3 games in well over 7 months. if you were expecting 20 and 10? then forget it. i gotta feeling bonzi will be fine. he was active on the bench. smiling with his teamates. giving yao high fives regulary. he had a really nice feed into yao. i thought he looked ok with yao.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It looks like he did what he could while he was out there, which was pretty much just crashing the boards at this point. I'm sure there was a lot of pressure on him too, being his first game back. I'd say give him 10-15 minutes for the next few games so he can get acclimated and then bump him up to 25 a night...maybe 6th man depending on who starts, and if Tracy's back (no pun intended).
