About to throw on some Muse. Never really checked them out, but wanted to after everyone I talked to who went to ACL this year said they put on the best show. My 16 year-old niece of all people had three CDs on her iPod which I just put on mine.
I saw Ridley Scott's Final Cut of the best SF flick ever made at the Paramount on Congress last week. Blade Runner on the big screen, remastered in the version that was ruined by the studio 25 years ago, and it was AWESOME. I'm listening to the soundtrack. Of course, I listen to it all the time, but now it's cooler, having seen the flick on the big screen THE WAY GOD INTENDED. (or somebody... I'm agnostic... where's Nomar?)
Just got back with the following CDs: Elliott Smith-New Moon Bright Eyes-Cassadaga Ryan Adams & The Cardinals-Follow the Lights Stevie Wonder-Number 1s The Killers-Sawdust Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers-Greatest Hits Will jam them all tonight on the drive from Phoenix to Santa Cruz.
Those guys are great. Gaza Strippers are okay too, what I've heard at least. You like the Supersuckers? I've been listening to the Cheap Trick box set and a bunch of David Bowie - Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs.
Mainly various playlists off the iPod including Neil Young, Bob Dylan, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, ELP, Genesis, and Leonard Cohen. Also listened to Bootleg Series Volumes 1-3, Bootleg Series Volume 6 and Biograph by Dylan.
