Agreed. Flagg and Wemby would be stupid, outside of health factors

Wouldn’t matter. If the rockets had that pick the nba would just rig the lottery like they always do for him not to come here.

A lot of young people from small rural towns are dying to get out of there to the big city

Flagg is a legitimate star….let’s not downplay him just because we made a really stupid and senseless trade. Best player since Wembly and we gave up a great shot at getting him for a 2029 pick swap.

I will take your word for it.
I have not watched him play

Not to put the "great white guy" Tag on him
but I remember when Christian Laettner- Keith Van Horn
    were the next great thing
Do you think his ceiling is higher than Lauri Markkanen? Chet?

Honestly I'm pretty high on Chet these days (injury concerns aside)

Flagg has a much higher ceiling.
6’9 with top tier athleticism, elite defense and length, was the best player on the court against the Olympic team that included Amen.
He’s got TMac type upside with Kirilenko type floor at the wing.

I am one of those who doesn't think they'd have traded Bridges if they didn't have their pick, and they had to trade Schroeder and DFS to get this bad this year too. Not sure they'd have made any of those deals were it not for the fact they had their pick. So it's irrelevant to me.

kinda depends on what pick we get out of it

if we get top 4 i think it is a great trade because we still got plenty of opps for anther number 1 pick in subsequent years

side note people that do the flagg jazz thing because he is white they are racist for thinking and believing such utter poo

Even without Bridges, the Nets are a good enough team to make the playoffs. For all those that think the Nets would have been a bad team if we kept the pick haven’t been watching them closely. They have purposely traded good players, sat players and let go of players that were winning.

The only player to average more than 30 mins is Johnson who they are trying to trade and get his stats up, but since the deadline his averages have dropped significantly playing in 50 games. Even after attaining Russell the Nets have limited his mins. Thomas, their best player has only played in 25 games. This is a team early on that beat Milwaukee 3 times, beat Memphis 2 times, and even beat our Rockets in both their games.

In the Eastern conference they could have easily repeated their record last year and added a couple of FAs to take them further. I honestly can’t see why people are upset, we would have gotten a mid 1st from the Nets and yet we still have a mid 1st if not lottery pick from the Suns. And I’m pretty sure the Suns will be much worst off then the Nets by 2027 and 2029. I rather be patient and have lottery picks latter vs having a couple of mid 1st which will likely get very little playing time now.

And for those that say we need to win it all now with a top pick, then why are we depending on a rookie to win at all. Looking back 40 years it just hasn’t been the case.
