I never associated "Rockets" with military weaponry. I always thought of it in the context of space travel.

Possibly, and I'm sure every Rockets fan would rationalize it that way if a name change was ever imminent but, remember, these were once the San Diego Rockets. So, the Houston/NASA connection wasn't always there.

I'm just saying.....Why'd you call out specifically Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton in a random thread such as this one? Especially with the recent trade rumors.

Are you trying to tell us something Clutch?!?!?

    Clutch and the Clutchtones

I suggest this given their proven abilities with holiday tunes.

Big green references the movie fromt he 90s, but also connects with houston because they want to be the green capital of the world...

I still the Wizards is a stupid name and the Bullets were fine. I don't think crime in DC has decreased because of the name change.

    plus the unis were cool.

sadly, no matter what, we still wouldn't lose "Houston, We Have A Problem" from the headlines/commentators, even after losing the space reference. Cause the Astros still have it going strong..

if you wanted to accurately describe Houston, it would be the
    Houston Humidity.
