Because Bosh can do what they do as one player. We're not going to be starting Scola and Hill at one time with Yao, it'll be one or the other.

The key is to get that top 10 talent here to be paired with Yao and Martin. I'll trust Morey to retool the team with role players that we lose if this happens.

I would never let Scola go first off.

I would ship Brooks,Ariza,Hill, and The NY pick.

Where's the option for I'd rather take my chances with Scola/Hill/maybe a lottery pick manning the 4 position. I'd love to have him, but he's not worth gutting the team over.

Plus I think that bout sailed after we got Martin. How could getting Bosh possibly work mathematically?

The trade's talk about Bosh should be quite for a while since Scola is playing so well, and Hill is looking good too. Also according to BimaThug, it is difficult to include Scola in the Bosh trade, so the rockets almost have to keep Scola when we require Bosh, that is too expensive on PF position. Current team would be very good with an additional drift pick (hoping a high drift one) and a return of Yao.

People need to stop saying guys like AB,Scola,Lowry,Battier,Hayes,Ariza,Hill,Chase are easy to replace. It took a lot of years and hard work to get players like them.

I wouldn't trade anything for Bosh, Toronto is going to want a lot from us for him, and hes not that big of an upgrade from Scola imo. Not only that but scola is much less expensive

we gave up THREE starters for McGrady.. Stevie, Cat, AND Cato.. and we were a better team that became contenders that shoulda got pass the Mavs in 05.. was that stupid? NO

the Miami Heat traded 3 starters for Shaquille Oneal in 04.. Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, and Brian Grant and became instant contenders and a couple seasons later won a championship.. was that stupid? NO

im glad u dont run the Rockets FO, dumb moves would be made left and right if that was the case

NON OF THE ABOVE, as shown in the Poll

a) picks
b)players
c) cash and/or assets

PLAYERS:- Battier,Jefferies, Andersen,Hayes, Armstrong

If Morey's arm is twisted he could also trade:-
Brooks, If there is a great playmaker Point Guard available

Scola (at a last resort) could be traded if combined with Battier for Bosh, possibly saving the picks to use in another secondary trade.

If I had my way with things-Players to keep ie do not trade:-
Yao, Martin, Lowry, Ariza, Hill, Budinger, Taylor,Brooks & Scola. :p

At the end of the day Bosh is 25 years old, 4 years younger than Scola, averages 3 more rebounds than Scola and 9 points more. Don't get me wrong I love Scola but if the chance presents itself, you have to take it

Scola + our pick and NY's pick next year + filler (maybe Bud or somebody like that to sweeten the deal, or one of our larger contracts if we worked out some variation of a sign n trade).

It shouldn't cost anymore than that. They'll be getting a legitimate replacement in Scola, a young talent in Bud, and the possibility of a high lottery pick next year with another (hopefully very low pick) that they could use to trade up even higher if they wanted.

The raptors always want Battier. I guess it would be Scola+Battier+2picks(1 first round + 1 second round).

Unbelievable that some folks would give up both Scola and Brooks to get Bosh here. That would make the Rockets a worse team, with a worse chance at winning a championship. These folks can't see the forest (the team, winning) for the trees (Bosh).
