Voted for #2...I'm just a happy ending kind of guy. But really, I'm just tired of hearing about Tracy. One way or another, whether he stays or not, somebody please end this.
In an ideal world, I'd be jonesin' for option #2. Tracy returns, close to his old self, but with a new attitude that sticks, a willingness to play within Adelman's system, and an equal willingness to assume any role desired of him that coach sees as improving the team, whatever that may be. We don't live in an ideal world, not when it comes to Tracy (or much else), and I'm tired of dealing with constant health problems with the best players we've got. Yao, hopefully, will be fully recovered for next season, but it isn't a given. One guy with health issues taking up a huge chunk of cap space is enough for me, thank you very much. That takes me to option #3. McGrady comes back, plays strong, and shows his value to a team interested in the cap space he can give them and what he might bring to the team as a bonus. Maybe a team like the Bulls, for example, who'd love to have a "name" player on their roster. That's my vote, not that this poll means diddly-squat. (with all due respect to the OP!)
Great post. My thoughts exactly. I was going to post on this thread, but you took the words out of my mouth.
