Why do we have to settle for photographs?

I rather see moving pictures: film and video, dammit!

I like to look at it as a picture's worth a thousand words. Casue...in this day and age... pictures might not always speak the truth. Take for example, every cover photo of Maxim ;)

I think anything from the Bible would be cool.... Noah's Ark, Garden of Eden...how bout a portrait of Adam and Eve. Any natural disaster pre-photographs. How bout the Roman Coliseum in all its orinigal splendor (yeah I'm watching parts of Gladiator right now on TNT :) )

Dinosaurs and Jesus are the two I'd most want to see of the ones that have been mentioned. although, remember that line from that song "if God had a face, what would it look like and would you want to see," would you really want to see Jesus (whether you think he's God or not)? perhaps the most important person in history and you'd have to accept the face for whatever it was. it would be fairly weird. kind of like seeing the face of that guy in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square (at least i've never seen it in any of the clips). it's almost more perfect if you don't.

some of the things mentioned wouldn't really be any good as pictures but only good as movies (but damn would they be some good movies, especially the Big Bang).

    and speaking of movies:

watching this movie tonight reminded just how good it was that it beat out Crouching Tiger for best picture. it so thoroughly crushes that movie (and all other movies that year) into the ground that it would've been a travesty had it lost. just a spectacular movie.

Yeah...and no other sword and sandal epic has even come remotely close to its greatness since.... King Arthur? Troy? Alexander? Umm, I don't think so... what about...whats it called...Kingdom of Heaven? Maybe, it is Ridley Scott and the trailer looked good...but seemed too similar to Gladiator. We'll see.

There are way too many pictures to think.

I would just like to have photos back when Jesus Christ was around. I have a feeling he wouldn't allow the camara to work though. He doesn't appear to be a sharpey kinda guy.
