As the Celtics have shown, if your starting PG (Rondo) can't hit a jumpshot, you need a backup guard that can (Eddie House..Nate Robinson)

Lowry + one of Ariza/Battier/Budinger for Rubio

Rubio becomes starting PG when he's NBA ready and Brooks still gets 30+ minutes as the sixth man and backup guard

id give up maybe a pick and maybe an expiring. rubio is overrated and will amount to nothing in the nba.

If we did that trade somethings tells me that Rubio would not start over Brooks.

Did you watch the 08 Olympic games? The kid can definitely play. Overseas numbers tend to be lower than they are in the NBA.

Tyreke Evans did NOT play in the NBA before he got drafted.

and that goes the same for...

    Kobe,
    MJ,

and Dwight Howard didn't even play in College..

    Who's freaking stupid now?

good thing Morey doesnt even know you exist.

for this rockets team WITH yao. Brooks is a way better fit than rubio.
however i would love to see a rubio type player in adelmans system with a couple athletic bigs. reincarnation of j-will.

Hmmm, I would think his averages should be higher considering he plays in a league where defense and contact are prohibited.

Europe is a pure shooting league, and this just in......he cant shoot

John Wall has a bust factor of 0.

Rubio right now projects like Steve Nash with no jumpshot. The special talent is mitigated by his lack of athleticism and no shot. He can create for others but his scoring abilities make me question his effectiveness. Conley JR also has great ball handling skills and can create for others. How did that work out for him?

Not worth Brooks and the 14th IMHO, maybe Brooks and a 2nd round pick.

I guess this shows you know nothing about Euroleague. Euroball is more defensive and more physical than the NBA. They're not all jumpshooters as well, where do you think Scola learned his postmoves? Here in the US?

Averages don't mean much as well. In euroleagues the MVP can average only 15 pts.

You are right....I do not follow Euroleague ball. Maybe that is because all the best players are here in our country already, or it could be that horrendous WNBA ball they use.

From what I see, it is usually the NBA castoffs going over there, not the other way around. Most of the ones who come here do not succeed other than your Parker/Ginobli/Scola types.....rare talents.

They are like the MLS to our EPL.

Rubio should stay where he belongs.......he is MLS material

It might be that i'm just tired....

But it looked like Rubio carries the ball on just about every dribble he does. lol.

I'd offer two first round picks, but not Chase or Hill.

14th pick + Lull is about the limit to what I would offer. I think that is pretty fair.

Unconvinced he would ever play for the Timberwolves.

I was just about to say the same thing. Only Steve Nash can get away with carrying the ball that much.
