Why not give them what they are asking for? Gordon, Knight, Chriss and the 4 first round picks. 1. Butler is a better player than Gordon 2. Chriss and Knight aren't playing 3. Those picks won't be missed when they beat the Warriors in the playoffs
or butler and/or others get injured (Hardens hamstring lingers...CP3 is... well CP3...)... causing us to fizzle out... Tomball Jimmy walks cause we dont want to pay (esp a max contract) to a potentially injury prone player (ie Luc)... and we end up losing draft picks for the next 7 years for a guy that isnt even around past this year... that payment structure is very Maloney-esque... lol
My calendar reads 2018. The last pick is owed in 2025. Help with my math but that is 7 years from now. —> Harden, Butler and CP3 won’t even in the league anymore. Random thoughts Keep Harden to sell seats CP3 Lakers would be a fit with a Rondo exit not many other landing spot for him with that contract & his age. Capela No one even made an attempt this offseason that I am aware of. This season play vs contract —> Nets. IDK Gordon & Tucker 1st rounders for each —> value contracts Not much else to sell. Harden / Melo / Rondo =. Harden / Howard / Beverley
not to be argumentative... but I gotta believe if we ship off those 4 draft picks to get Tomball Jimmy - and then he walks in the offseason... for the next 7 years when people complain that "Morey sucks and nobody wanted to make such a stupid trade for a 1 year rental..." i gotta believe you'd dust off this thread to show to the contrary... i would... lol
Say what you want about Gordon he’s ALWAYS went through cold streaks like this, the difference is, just like gs when Klay disappears for weeks our team usually overshadows it. He BROUGHT IT against gs in the playoffs. I’m not giving him up to get butler we need as many horses as we can acquire to beat GS
Knight/Chriss + 3 1st's, a 4th if we get a coupler 2nd's back. No way I give up Gordon at all, it's only 5 games in, not time to panic, but I really would love Jimmy Butler in a Rockets uniform for real.
Also if the Wolves think they can get a better offer they're dumb, they either deal him, or lose him for nothing in FA.
