... if he played for a different team than the Spurs?

Let's say Ginobili played for a crappy-to-average team, something like Bucks/Raptors/Bobcats etc. and was given full reign and starter minutes (36-38mpg).

What do you think he would have averaged?

His best year with the Spurs was 2007-08:
    31.0 mpg, 19.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.5 spg, 46.0% FG, 40.1% 3PFG

Wait...I thought Toronto was the best offensive team of all time!

Or maybe a prime Manu would make them the best offensive team of all time for more than two months into the season? Maybe three?

Although for most bench players per 36 would be inaccurate, I think it would work for Ginobili, but likely with a slight dip in his %'s.

    career 20-5-5 guy

He would be revealed as nowhere close to the same as James Harden at equal age, carrying a team by himself, playing pretty much the same style of game.

ginobli is a better and more proven clutch shooter than harden, but harden's overall game is stronger. i dont think ginobli could carry a team like harden during the regular season... i think prime ginobli would put up some pretty decent stats though as the #1 option though...

His flop count would have more than doubled.

    19 PPG / 5 RPG / 6 APG / 3.5 TO on sub 40% shooting from the field.

He was lucky to play 2nd/3rd fiddle and under the discipline of Pop. If he was the main focus he wouldn't be nearly as efficient as defenses would focus on stopping him and he'd do WTF he wanted under any other coach. Even when he was playing well overall .....Pop would still chew his ass out for mental lapses. Also, he got the benefit of staying fresh on offense and was able to take more risks in the passing lanes on defense having Bruce Bowen help out the majority of his prime by defending the opposing teams best wing.

As a 3rd option he was perfect. As a number 1 option he would've
    flopped.

not sure if he'd last very long, he seems to get injured whenever he comes off a heavy minute year

There was like a 3-year run where he was the 3rd best SG in the league. His stats would have been pretty good. Duncan's Spurs have played in title games with 3 different best players. Maybe 4. ****, maybe 5.
