In order for Durant to even consider Houston I think Dwight Howard would have to be moved or not retained past this contract. Those two guys dont seem to mesh well.

Howard would have to opt out or agree to take a meager one year salary to fit Durant in.

A Lawson + Harden recruiting combo is as good as anyone's pitch though.

I keep hearing of durant going "home" but the wizards aren't attractive at all imo.

Their bigs are aging and aside from being "home" they have wall and Beal.

Why not just stay with okc or go somewhere else?

well the Rockets no longer have a 1st round pick to trade so unless they acquire one they wouldnt have it in their tool box to sweeten a deal. An outright trade would require the Rox to package up several players to match salaries...so that would include our PFs and Ariza and this year's draft picks. Plus a 2018 draft 1st round draft pick unprotected. That would allow them in the room to even talk.

Now whether or not Durant and Howard would even work together is a whole different discussion. Durant does not like Howard as evidenced by his drpping the P-Bomb on Dwight during a game.
