Wait, you really think Morey wouldn't take a chance on Cousins? You have no idea how he operates then. He had no problem trading for Ron Artest, and even that trade worked out.

Ron Artest had success in the playoffs and even took his team to the Conf. Finals before landing in Houston. He was never a true cancer in the locker room. Cousins has never shown signs of a player that can coexist with a team's philosophy.

And your evidence of that is Cousins being stuck on one of the worst organizations in sports his entire career? If he becomes a cancer on a winning team, the criticism would be more valid. Dwight's antics on a winning Rockets team was more reprehensible than anything Cousins has done.

Evidence is his attitude, off the court demeanor. What I saw from him even before he was drafted and in the combine. His suspensions for team disruption, his constant trade scenarios, forcing a good coach out, and no other team wanting to give up anything to take him on as a chance. But you're right- let's bring him on this team despite all of that because we once did it with Artest. Also, let's keep talking about this now as the Rockets are doing well in the playoffs and the season hasn't even ended yet. Makes perfect sense.

Would completely alter the team's dynamic. Do. Not. Want.

If you're not interested in discussing Cousins, how about getting off the thread that's about Cousins? Watch all his issues "magically" disappear when he gets on a winning franchise, something he's yet to experience.

Doing well in the playoffs is not good enough anymore. If the Rockets want to beat the Warriors and Cavs, they need more stars. Simple as that. Cousins over Capela is one of the best upgrades the team can make right now unless they can miraculously land Gordon Hayward or Paul George.
