you guys think houston is the only team in the league. There is many states that have great cities, better people, better jobs, better everything. Why come here to this overcrowded dump.

Locking up our financial flexibility for years to have a core of Harden-Durant-Horford is going to get us nothing but perpetual 2nd round and WCF exits. That is just not the core to have when you have no money to put players around them. I'd much rather have Harden + Durant + flexibility.

If they are willing to come here, finding the money is easy, you can dump the rights to Jones, Dwight, Smith, and Terry and trade away Brewer and Ariza only taking back picks, that alone will create a ton of cap space and you'd still be able to match DMo's contract after signing Horford and Durant so you'd still have decent depth at the 4 and 5.

Somebody should photoshop Horford and this guy as one. It's about time. The resemblance is there.

How would we be "locking up our financial flexibility for years"? The cap is projected to rise to $108M in 2018. You can't fill holes with $20M in cap space?

    We'd have to re-structure Matt Maloney's contract.

Beverley is very moveable at $6mill.
Ariza is very moveable at $7.8mill
    Brewer can be stretched
    Motiejunas renounced.

If Morey happens to get a commitment from both those guys, he will be able to quickly pull the trigger on the moves required.

Having the space isn't really an issue - it's getting the 2 to commit!

Would Conley have the same max-type salary as Horford? I would prefer Conley to him.

I don't think we can touch him for 12 million, thats what he made last season and that was before the increase in salary cap to 92 million. He is going to get a lot of money and it will be far north of 12 million.

This! If they want to join the ROX, I'm sure Morey can find ways to clear space. But that's one hell of a BIG if.

The same is true for practically 1/2 of the league this off season.

I don't know that cap stuff at all but if we can have a core of

    Bev
    Harden
    Kd
    Horford
    Capela
    Beasley
    Dmo
    Ariza

That is as strong a roster as there is in the NBA and is pushing GS level in terms of the top 8 players.

It's pretty big man heavy but all players are skilled outside of capela, ariza and bev. But Capela ariza and bev are all defensive minded players who don't need nor want a lot of shots. I'd assume ariza and bev woukd get closer to 40% 3pt shooting with all the open looks. Capela would be a good garbage man who can block shots and rebound while running the court.

But the good thing is besides Capela all this guys can shoot the 3ball or atleast the mid range.

Think of closing teams out with

    Hardrn
    Ariza
    Kd
    Horford
    Dmo

    Or

    Bev
    Harden
    Beasley
    Kd
    Horford

Either way you have a lot of shot makings and guys who are smart and can pass the rock.

If we can get this Roster im sure Horford and durant will think long and hard about coming here if we can get them both max contracts.

Here we go again. Not that I should mention it, but someone who joined the site in July 2012 talking about us signing Jeremy Lin.

Quoting Michael Corleone: "Just when I thought I was out....they pull me back in."
