What would be considered failure for the Rockets in 2013-14?

    Well pretty obvious subject up for discussion. What in your opinion would be considered failing in the 2013-14 season?

    Obvious one for me is losing opening night game to Bobcats, not even a trip to the NBA finals would wipe that shame.

    On a more serious note, not making the playoffs despite having pretty much the same crew except with an addition of an all star would be pretty messed up. Or getting swept in the first round. Getting swept might be even worse then not making it in the first place.

    1-4 seed in the playoffs, obviously from winning division title.
    Conference Finals. Win or lose, if we don't make it to the conference finals, it'll be a huge failure.

    Our goal this season should be to clinch HC advantage and make it out of the first round. I'm sure a lot of us are expecting WCF at the minimum.

    Remains to be seen but I'm looking forward to it!

    I'd say anything lower than a 5 seed would be disappointing. This team is better than that if it can stay healthy.

    i just want home court and past the 1st round...anything lower is a failure

    They should at least get past the first round of the playoffs. If not, then I think most people would be disappointed given the team managed to get that far last season.

    Agree with red redemption primary target will be champion of SW

    Then the next target will be wcf

    After that will be nba finals

    Anything short of SW champion would be a failure but if the team manages to get to wcf despite not being SW champs I am still fine with the results

    to be honest..if we don't get to the playoffs for any reason would be a huge disappointment, and if we get there and we get knocked out if the first round would be a disappointment also.

    Not getting past the 1st round. I could care less about seeding. As long as we make deep run into playoffs.

    Losing in the first round would be the disappointment. WCF or bust is a pretty lofty goal. Not saying we can't reach it but to dismiss the whole season if we don't get there? lol. This is the West afterall.

    For this first year, I'd be satisfied with getting into the second round and taking it to 6-7 games. Anything less than that would be a failure. WCF or failure is a bit much imo, a lot of good teams in the west and who knows how things will turn out.
