You know he's gonna play hard against us. We'll get to see a couple silly floaters.

You're on drugs if you think he deserves anything but your respect and a standing ovation if you're up for that. He loved being a Rocket and played to the best of his abilities. He was a tremendous workhorse for us manning arguably the toughest position to play and did so relatively injury-free and played 35-40 mins a night without a quality backup, for the most part.

He played hard for us. If I were you, I'd give a round of applause. The only guy beside Battier, Scola and Yao that played with H E A R T!

He did his best as a rocket and played with his heart even though it sometimes wasn't enough. No need for being jerks towards him, he did his best.

I bet he hangs 20 points on Houston and goes something like 4/7 from 3 point land.

I'm glad he's not our starting PG anymore, but at least he gave us 100% on a daily basis.

Rafer wasn't the greatest offensively, but I really think that it showed more because we've always had struggles on offense, and he was often trying to create because no one else would when we got in those slumps like 4th quarter against the Suns the other night.

I didn't have a jersey or anything, but I always liked Rafer's demeanor on the court, and thought he ran the offense well. Always wished that shot was better, but you take what you can get.

Bottom line, Rafer should get a large amount of applause, and anyone that bashes the guy by bringing signs etc. makes us seem like fans of a lesser class than I like to believe we are.

Threads like this make me really wonder how it is that -I- got demoted.

Fans should give him a applause. Rafer did so much good things for the team even I do not like his game very much, but he played hard, never quit for a game for any reason. A nice guy, but not a allstar.

I bet he gets cheers. Its not like he Scottie Pippened us or anything. Although I felt he took a shot at us when he said things like "Everywhere I look, I have somewhere to pass." and "it feels good to be on a contending team."

I read those statements as the standard "kissing up" to his new teammates. Its just a variation on the standard PR statements that every traded player makes.(unless you get traded to OKC or the Clippers)

as far as playing off him, gotta see what kind of night he is having on that night...play up on him till he bricks the first three or four, then give him some room. You dont want to start playing off him when he has one of his rare 50%+ shooting night.

    Rafer deserves a standing-ovation.
Despite his shortcoming, he played a key role for this team, and most importantly, did it the best he could every single night.
