Anythoughts on moving Yao out from under the basket on offense to get Shaq from clogging the paint?
Over the course of a seven game series IMO we should try to use some of Yao's versatility.

Plus since JVG has used Mark Jackson, Boki and Padgett more recently maybe he's been tuning them up to spread out the floor more on offense to counter the Laker's interior D and half court game.

Pros and Cons/bad news and good news

Bad news is: We have to face the LA Fakers. Kinda see a lot of bad calls coming.

Good news is: Karl Marone is injured and there is the possibility that he will not play with full strength(or will simply not play). Also, Gary Sayton isn't playing as well as he used to.

OK, so now it's the Lakers:

Kidnap Vanessa, bribe the judge to hold Kobe in contempt, pull a Tonya Harding on Karl's ankle, slip muscle relaxants into Shaq's food, and have Steve Francis write Denver 1994 on the front of his shirt.

the key is to contain the most dangerous Faker, no not Shaq cause Yao will handle him, but Kobe. Kobe is the one that we will have to becareful with. hope Cat can do his job.

To me, the most important thing is Rockets need to believe they can Win.

They need to Expect to win the series in order to have a slight chance to win! Hungry and emotional motivated, metally tough, and on the same page no matter what happened in the series.

I am not sure they can do that. But I hope they put up a huge fight with lakers.

I just heard part of the ESPN interview with Phil Jackson over the radio. Basically, he sounds very humble, which is very rare.:D

He said the match up between Shaq & Yao will decide who comes out on top of the series. This is a equal match up because of their respective size & strength, not like all the midgets who can get under those two guys, make them lose balance.;) ;)

BTW, I don't agree with Jackson because the match up between Shaq & Yao will be a wash with Shaq hold the edge slightly. It's Mobley vs Bryant will decide the outcome. The Rockets have a lot of problem when opponents use penetration to break into middle, so Mobley has a huge task on hand to keep Bryant on check!

Yeah, Mobley will need to be huge if we are gonna win this series. I still say Jimmy Jackson will need to make major contribution as well, he’s done it most of the year, hope he continue his strong play!

Mark Stein said something very interesting on ESPN News a few minutes ago. He said we're going to see an extremely focused Shaq this series because this will easily be the most watched of the 1st round.

Shaq doesn't want to look bad in front of all these people so he's going to hone in on Yao like a laser. Knowing JVG, he probably won't change a single thing, but if we move Yao high to set screens, to feed the post from the key which he's great at, and get him 15-17 footers, we can take serious advantage of the matchup.

Since Shaq won't leave Yao, this pulls him away from the paint for Steve and Cat to drive and Yao saves energy from not pounding inside all the time. This gives us the advantage, unlike most teams, of being able to pull Shaq away from the hoop without losing size on defense.

bill lambeir just said on espn that all yao had to do was contain shaq and we would have a chance to win the series. he also said yao didn't have to play well just contain shaq and that would let francis or someone else on the rockets help us get some wins. finally he predicted either we win in 6 or the fakers in 7.

if we can somehow limit ourselves to 13 or less turnovers a game we will be really competitive in this series. once we starting passing 15 turnovers...look out
