not realy, players win championships. jerry krause of the bulls never had a great relationship w/ phil or jordan b/c he's an ass and egotistical but they won when phil came along.

florida marlins won the world series despite the owner wanting to cut down on spending and not wanting to pay anybody.

ultimately, organizations help, but if u don't have the pieces, u aint gonna win.

You don't get it, my point is that he is not as good as he used to be, if you want to follow the TWO SUPERSTAR MAX money making model you HAVE to HAVE those two player's playing at the HIGHEST level. Why did the Shaq and Kobe combo work? Because they were playing at a very high level, all the players around them were MOSTLY scrubs. This T-Mac/Yao combo won't work if you are getting diminishing returns from one of your superstars. The man was talking about retiring in 3 years, there's something wrong with that statement!!!

Fact is most fans are biased in their opinions, I personally believe I'm objective in my point of view. I understand T-Mac has improved his playmaking abilities (he wows me too), but keep in mind his offensive dominance is gone. Being so top heavy we can't afford to have a superstar not be able to score like a superstar----and I mean Kobe/Allen/Vince/Pierce/etc.

The back is not going to get better, just ask a doctor what he would say to someone with chronic back problems who works in a physical demanding job….GET A DESK JOB!!!!! Trade now before his value sinks and before Yao gets too old…..
    reality check.

u have GOT to be kidding me. kobe yes, but the rest?

u dont want tmac but rather want allen/vince/pierce??? u just gotta be smoking some weed or really hate tmac.

tmac's back may not get better, but if it can be MANAGED to prevnet back spasms, that's still very good.

but again, what i bolded shows your knowledge of basketball.

T-mac was probably like "WHAT THE F--K?" So now do we trade Yao for Earl Boykins so we can be the shortest team in the league? Pathetic!!

As I said in the post, some fans are biased in their opinions. What I bolded tells me what kind of a fan you are :D

You can't afford to have a MAX making player with a back being "MANAGED", it's a huge risk. There's a reason why we had Hayes/Howard as our PF's and Alston/JLIII as PG's. You are basically willing to have a weaker team around Yao/T-Back...it took years for Kobe/Shaq to win their first title, it's that hard, now you think it will work with our situatioin, where one player is getting worse each year??? Watch some tapes of T-mac a few years back, you will see the difference, offensively this guy was better than Kobe, now...

He and Yao should demand a trade to Seattle for Luke Ridnour and Earl Watson. That trade will be genius compared to this draft.
